Hi, I am Jared Cowen....

And I have 10 points in the last 14 games

Spread out over a season that is 58 points..

IMO Cowen's development is just as important to our team as Karlsson's is/was..

Is he turning a very important corner.. already?? He has always been seen to many of us as a defensive defensmen.

PS: I am not Jared Cowen.

Cowen is doing great, but I wouldn't say he's as important as Karlsson.

From he looks of it Karlsson might be something of a generational defenseman.

I realize this, but what Cowen has is something Karlsson NEVER will, and vice versa..

We could have Chara - Redden again, except better, considering Karlsson's "WTF" offensive ability.

Look how confident he is with the puck, zero hesitation to join the rush, this is why he racked up the points in junior.

It's a real treat watching Cowen and Karlsson making that stride to the next level. I just hope years down the road we don't have a Chara/Redden situation again where we have to choose one.

A few years ago we had a number of veteran defensemen who would make me nervous everytime they were on the ice.

Now we've got a rookie logging huge minutes and I'm not the least bit concerned with that. It's a glorious feeling.

He plays the game like he's been in the league for years.

Remember when Brenden Bell was our PP QB one year?

No shiat, and he was actually one of the more reliable ones on the ice!

My, how times have changed in a few short years.

I noticed this right off the bat when he played here in Binghamton in the AHL Playoffs.. You knew he was going to be a monster.. and we weren't going to have to wait.

Love Cowen's game. You could tell right from preseason he was ready for top-4 minutes already. Glad to see his growing pains have been minimal so far.

Some people thought Cowen could have played last year. Glad to see he went to junior for the extra year, then won a championship in the AHL. It has paid off many times over already. Hope the same thing happens with Silfverberg and Zibanejad. The extra year in a lower league might do wonders for them.

Talking about this team's upside is so ****ing exciting.

He probably could have, but I'm with you.. Hard to argue with the result so far.

Edit: a year ago he was playing against 16 year olds. Can you imagine being the 16 year old in that equation?

Great to see. To me Cowen is a huge part of our future. We're lucky to have him and Karlsson.

I'd actually think he's just as important to Karlsson. In a different way.

They are like two peas in a pod, they are actually going to BOTH be huge to our team over the next few years. And both their developments are going to be huge.

If both Karlsson and Cowen develop the way they have been, so far, we are going to have ONE HELL OF A TOP pairing.
