In the presser after the game last night, Noel alluded to the fact that he may not be ready until after Christmas. He hadn't yet skated unless he skated this am.
Toronto, Ottawa and New Jersey, all play tonight, making that possible but unlikely.
But by the time the Leafs are in town on New Year's Eve . . .
Well, I'm getting too far ahead, Pittsburgh first (then Colorado, followed by L.A.), but Pittsburgh first.
Welcome to HF Jets! Can't help but get excited about our next few opponents. However, this team needs to find a way to play harder against the weaker sisters.
If we do what this team SHOULD do we could be sitting pretty come 2012.

it needs to be said that you have the best signature on HF right now
I was shocked to see that this team is 0 fer when we trail after 1 and 2 periods!
This team needs to be able to come back... we should have the offensive horses to pull it off. I think we push too hard when we are trailing and often surrender more chances as a result.
Would like to see us actually come back tonight if we get scored on first, especially considering the Pens D is banged up a bit.
Anybody else like what they saw from Miettinen last night?
Thought him and Slater looked really good, some chemistry. Looks like another "solid" pro ala Wellwood, Slater, Glass. Just seemed really cool and confident to me - and just getting his feet on the ground back in North America.
Me says good on Chevy for this pickup
Yeah I like mittens, just hope the change of scenery and a crowd that loves them some fins can make him a better player.
Taken from a site about him;
ASSETS: Uses his smarts to make the right play more often than not. Is a polished two-way player. Provides plenty of versatility to a lineup, since he can play on either side of center. Kills penalties with aplomb.
FLAWS: Doesn't shoot the puck enough, which limits his goal-scoring potential. He also misses several good scoring chances, which makes him less than ideal as a top-six winger. Is not physical enough to be an impact player up front. Is prone to scoring slumps.

Mittens is a big upgrade from Jaffray and Klingberg.

Yes, but we're 1.000 when leading after 3.
On a more serious note, it's very difficult to beat the Jets when they're leading after 1, and extremely difficult when they're leading after 2 (.846 and .933 respectively).
