Walt is one of my favorite players of all time. Imagine if Walt was in his prime playing with this talented Blues team ?

Walter's first fight was with Mellanby

I like it. Maybe Stewart will feed off of Backes.

Holy *****.

You'd think that reporter guy who just gave that speech was the one getting inducted into the Ring of Honor.

That was simply awful.

Heh...I remember when the "kid line" was Backes-McClement-Stempniak. Hey, we had to try to get excited about something back then.

Nice one Russell.

Puck management is brutal, soft in the defensive zone, now Backes with a dumb penalty. Nice start.

Elliott with two big saves.

And Tyson Nash should try and find a new post-playing profession.

Greats saves by Elliott pretty early in this game...

Nichol and Langebrunner have had pretty good shifts together. Strong forecheck on playing with one another.

Stewart has had some chances but just not where he should be. He should not have caused an off sides there.

Probably the worst period I have seen the Blues play under Hitch

It'd be a crime if we don't win after catching all these breaks.

The Berglund line has been in their own zone the entire period and when Carlo was lugging the puck up the ice with a back checker hounding who didn't see that that had brutal giveaway written all over it.

Then a huge break off the post and now a double minor.

Quite a turn of events..

Holy CRAP that was too close.

Now at least they got a penalty, but poor Arnott.

The Yotes have to be the fastest team in the league. The Blues can't skate with fast teams.

The Blues are very lucky to not be down 3-0. the puck trickles through Elliott's 5-hole, out the back end, just outside the net, then a breakaway 1 on 0 that Elliott savws, then a sweet set up on an open net, and The Yotes hit a post.

Not a good period. The Blues looked tentative and sloppy.

Got to score one, or even 2 on this 3:45 PP.

Did the Blues not act the same way when Payne came in at first? Everyone was fired up and playing great for awhile and then complete failure?

Berglund line is garbage... put Oshie back with line 1. Look to shop Stewart and Berglund out of St Louis. Going to take a lot to get me to see the value of these two after the start of this season.
