Maybe I missed something, but he hasn't looked bad to me. He's taking the body and creating space with the puck in order to make good passes. It's refreshing to see a d-man like that on the Blues.

Russell and Cola leading the rush into offensive zones tonight... at least someone is!

Kudos to Grachev for giving it up and working to get it back and right his mistake. That speaks volumes to me and he created that play.

Well done to Grachev!

Wonderful goal, Dags!

Now don't let them tie it up again.

Great job by Grachev to backcheck after he gave the puck away.

Big goal. Get out of the period with a lead.

Tkachuk - Weight - Guerin

Stempniak - McClement - Backes
Mayers - Johnson - Drake

We've come a long way.

He had one glaringly bad giveaway and a couple of less obvious ones in his own zone that I can recall. Those were in the first period. He's been better in the second.

Very lucky to be ahead 2-1. They could easily be behind 4-2. The Blues have GOT to figure out a way to score on The PP! It's getting ridiculous!

Wow, I literally winced a little bit reading that lineup. Yes, yes we have. Not far enough for my liking just yet, though...let's rebound from a few shaky outings here (first two periods tonight included) and prove we're a playoff team all the way to April.

Bad first, was on the ice for a goal against in the second, took a penalty. Ya, just don't think he's had a good game.

Nevertheless, Elliott has been sharp and the Blues have been opportunistic against the stingy Tippette's.

Fair enough. I'm usually the pessimist, but I see him doing some good things on the ice. Far from horrible I'd say.

Holy whining announcers Batman. What a bunch of crybabies these Phoenix guys are. Tyson Nash and Matt something. "The "turning point," "the turning point!"

Yes, the officials missed a high stick on Backes, and they also missed a blatant trip by Hanzal. Why on earth was Backes going down in the first place? Hello. Two missed calls. Listening to these guys, Phoenix got jobbed and they just can't understand the missed call.

Yeah obviously I've got the STL feed but I don't understand how anyone, homer or not, couldn't see that Backes was tripped first and that was the only reason his stick went anywhere near Hanzal's face.
