Bernd Bruckler

Oct. 5's Hockey News has Bruckler listed as one of the four Hobey Baker pre-season candidates.

But lets all remember that according to this site, goalie is one of our weaknesses and our depth is average at best.

A knock on Bruckler is the fact that he's Austrian. Not too many of those around.

No not a grudge, just simply pointing out that maybe the HF site didn't do much research on the matter, but simply went with weak goaltending, because in Philly it is the major complaint every year.

The Flyers will need to chose whom to progress with after this year - Bruckler, Tremblay, and Beauchemin will all need to be signed or the rights will be lost I believe. If they want all three, that would meen Nitty is with the Flyers, Little is gone and one guy will be in the ECHL - and Houle would be elswhere.
I would say it is 50/50 he even gets signed.

Don't forget Dov Grumet-Morris and Martin Houle as well. Some decisions need to be made.

Houle is in my post.
Morris is even less than a 50/50 shot.

Is Malek still in the picture or are they going to let him rot in Europe?

Not if you are really serious about the process.
