Caps vs Devils - Prudential Center - 7pm - 12-23-11

Still no GDT started for tonights game so I am going to continue the good luck I have bestowed on the Boys by starting one for tonight:

VS

Lines from practice yesterday according to Katie:

Johansson-Backstrom-Semin
Ovechkin-Laich-Brouwer
Chimera-Halpern-Ward
Hendricks-Perreault-Knuble

Defensive Pairs from Preds game:

Alzner-Carlson
Schultz-Wideman
Hamrlik-Orlov

Neuvy gets another start

In Katie's blog on practice yesterday she said all 7 defensemen practiced yesterday so who knows about Big John. I just put up the pairs from the Preds game until I find something, or someone tells me, differently.

I think Laich is better on the third line... Chimera-Laich-Ward seems to have been a great line for most of this year.

David Clarkson (flu) (questionable)
Jacob Josefson (fractured clavicle) (out)
Henrik Tallinder (back spasms) (out)
Andy Greene (broken toe) (out)
Adam Larsson (bereaved) (out)

New Jersey injuries, copied from NJ GDT, Larsson is out for 2 games because his grandmother died.

OV was great last game. Don't change it. Might be like the Feds and Kozloaf line.

Please Caps win this game. This is one of the more important games of the season. I expect it will be a tight game.

With such a depleted defense for NJ i bet they'll trap the **** out of us... Have to beat them thou, win and you back to top 8 in the East... cant stand checking standings and seeing Caps out of play offs (don't care that its still all most 50 games to go).

After last game i don't see how 55 will be picked over Erskine...

Edit: Keep it rolling WetHog, get the streak going!

i think this is more about johansson than about laich to be frank. laich is a pretty steady and established player. johansson is still developing and needs a boost to get his game going offensively.

if the caps can win these next three games, they will be back on the track and rolling. part one tonight

Can we just leave him with NJ and take back our 2nd rounder from the Devils.

Orlov breaks his cherry tonight and on top of that it's the game winner.

Semins still a waste of time but not gonna lie, His game under Hunter has been pretty solid so far, finishing checks, more committed defensively and has a couple goals. Sometimes I wonder if Boudreau was the right guy to coach Semin. Obviously for the most part he'll still be what he is but I'm starting to think Hunter might be the guy to get the most out of Semin.

I won't be convinced Semin is useful again until he puts up 2-3 straight games of how he's playing now.

agreed. When he's firing on all cylinders he's good for 10-15 alone. Let me see 30 straight with this level of effort and he can have that longer term contract.

Everyone on here should consider themselves lucky, I have been given the Capitals feed on center ice once this year. Instead I get to listen to every teams homer every game. Unbelievably ****.

Yeah my time was limited. I went with the best campy picture that represents NJ that I could find in time to head to my office X-mas party. If I do another GDT I will do better. Buffalo could be interesting though.

JUST ****ING WIN!!!
