The Leafs and the Panthers have been consistently across from each other in the standings so far this season. I wouldn't be surprised if they play against each other first round. Actually, I'll go on record as that being my prediction. Panther's aren't a fluke. Mr. Tallon is a smart man and we're currently reaping the benefits of his wisdom. Granted that everyone is healthy come playoffs, the Panthers smoke the Leafs with a goal from Versteeg.
When Versteeg scores we usually win.
Only one team can come here and say we get smoked...its not you.
I really don't understand what else you would expect from a wide range forum. This ain't the borg.
Good Point but I'm not so sure you're right. LOL at those believe that there is no room for criticism or improvement on the mighty Leafs. But I like your point...dumb posts like "yesterday the sky was falling and today speak of playoff matchups" is spoken like there are only two posters on this board. I for one believe that the Leafs will be a playoff team, but I wouldn't say they were a lock by a long shot and I definitely wouldn't dismiss someone with the opinion that they won't make the playoffs.
My opinions don't change after each win or loss either.
I can totally see this. They are built for playoff hockey and know now exactly what it takes to win. Not sure anybody in the East can dethrone them...except maybe Pittsburgh with a healthy Crosby. But will Crosby be healthy this season?
Too bad Florida is not going to make the playoffs.
Clearly you haven't been watching much hockey this year. Tallon turned that franchise around in less than a year. As far as home ice advantage is concerned, that might be a stretch, but Florida will make the playoffs this year, guaranteed.
Speaking of which, who's making the trek down to Florida to see the game this Tuesday? I know I will be! Half of Thornhill is going to be down there, I was curious how many other hfboards users from T.O. will be making the pilgrimage.
