Why the top lines numbers are terrible is because the leadership/gm/owners are destroying the organization each year in and year out.
This needs and explanation since it doesn't fit the stats. The team is running THREE balanced scoring lines all of which are comprised of players with 5+ goals ... we have five forwards with 8+ goals and another two with 7. We're 14th in goals per game ... averaging over 3 per game this month ... a dramatically improved PP and an increase in goals per game over last year ... so where are you coming up with this "destroying the organization" stuff?
An in arena perspective on last night ... a 40 minute effort that still looked like hammered camel dung. This team simply hasn't put together a full game since the Calgary game. We're scrambling in both ends, we climb back into the game just to let them score almost instantly. The one or two extra passes cost us ... the legs weren't moving ... neither of our goalies look dominant game in, game out ... rough to watch in an enemy barn while wearing our colors.
Burish turned at the last second but Blake was making a long run to get that hit on him ... a deserved two minute minor with a possible embellishing call deserved by Burish. It wasn't a dirty hit, but, it wasn't a smart play and was deserving of a break in the box.

the hit looked worse when I first saw it.. still not a smart play by him at that point in the game. he has made hits like that in the past it seems.
btw, how was the game at AAC? how was the arena, compared to bridgestone? any problems with stars fans?

I ran into a few idiots but nothing major. The only real problem I've ever had with anyone there was after the New Year's game a few years ago when a drunk Texan wanted to fight when he saw the #22 on my jersey ... never mind I was wearing a Johnson gamer.
Similar sight lines to the Bridge, easy to wander concourses down low, a bit tight upstairs. Glass in front of the upper level sections which can cause a bit of a visual distortion if it's in your field of view.
The yelling of Stars during the anthem is a bit annoying.
If you go, avoid the back rows of the behind the net seats at the road shoot twice end ... unless you want to hear the sound of pom-poms shaking during every dance routine.

Little did they know you can call in an artillery strike
