I watched Jochen Hecht's team Mannheim play against my favourite team yesterday.

Jochen was the best man on the ice, he scored 3 goals and also had an assist.

Two of these goals were gifts of our goalie though, he was awful, I bet Jochen hadn't scored such easy goals for a long time.

Good to see Peters get some points even if it isn't in a top league. Martin, I believe, is injured. I'm impressed by what I hear regarding Tallinder thus far.

FYI, according to http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/p...php3?pid=59430 Kryukov has 2 goals and 5 assists in 17 games.

I'm trying to confirm this (junior high french class retention is surprisingly decent). I wonder if his shoulder is bothering him from last season. I might just have to make a call up to Drummondville to find out what's happening.

Brian Campbell has signed with Helsinki Jokerit of the Finnish league. His contract will run until the Christmas break, ie. 11.12.

Is Afinogenov injured? His team has played 14 games and he's only been in 9.

Hmm, cool

Just checked out Russian Prospects

Kriukov scores GTG:

Metallurg (Magnitogorsk) – Lokomotiv (Yaroslavl) – 2:2 (1:0, 1:2, 0:0, 0:0).
Vitaly Atyshov (Ottawa Senators) opened the scoring for Metallurg with a precise slap shot from the blue line. Another one of his powerful shot was deflected by Tertyshny for the club’s second goal. Lokomotiv’s first goal was scored off Metallurg’s mistake when Dmitri Pestunov (Phoenix Coyotes) made a no look pass behind him. The pass was intercepted by former Atlanta Thrashers prospect Dmitri Vlasenkov, who converted for his first goal of the season. Artem Kryukov (Buffalo Sabres) scored his third of the season on a two on one break to tie the game with just under a minute left in the second period.

I'm sure eSabre will cover this when he next updates but L.P. Martin is playing again for Drummondville. My knowledge of French abbreviations is alarmingly small but it looks like he's played in 2 games, 0 points, -2 and 10 shots on goal (7 in the first game vs PEI, 3 in the second vs Cape Breton).

At least he's back.

Also it appears that Calle Aslund is not on the Laredo Bucks roster. I couldn't find a reason why.

I'm not sure about that. I checked and he was on the preseason roster and played games. He wore #9, that number's been assigned to someone else. CHL looks like they use the same service as AHL which as you know is updated extremely rapidly.

It's fishy I tell ya. But I'll get to the bottom of it....

I got an email from the president of Laredo's booster club who told me Aslund was dealt to Rio Grande Valley (though this hasn't showed up on their website yet). She spoke highly of Aslund so it seems at least he's a class guy off the ice.

Noronen signs with HPK Hämeenlinna (Finland)

He'll play there the rest of the season unless of course the lock out comes to an end.
