I would be surprised if they didn't. I'm actually interested to see how the lines play out down the middle. I wonder if Talbot would maybe be able to pry Endicott out of the #2 center spot. Nothing against Endicott, but I would rather see Talbot there, if he performs well enough to warrant it. And then there's Eaves...
This team is loaded down the middle. Almost to the point of being stifling to a few players. But I imagine as the season goes along, everyone will get a shot, through either injury or performance.
I'm still hoping Morency somehow makes this team, though I doubt there is much of a chance. Wilkes Barre is loaded this year
I read an extensive report on him at hockey-fights.com. Think Steve Webb, only he can fight. He made the first round of cuts, so thats a start. It can't hurt to carry him as an extra forward.

Unfortunately, I do not like Morency. He always had an attitude and is something like a rotten apple on a team. Hull Olympiques had him not for long because they had to get rid of him because he was causing problems. I'm not saying he's not a good player just that he's a little cocky and that creates problems even with his teamates. Unless he really changed his attitude, I wouldn't want him on this team. If indeed he has changed, well I hope all the best for him.

That's interesting. I'm not doubting it, but Fleury had this to say about Morency:
Quote:
"Maybe to some people he looks small, but he has a big heart and he works hard. I don't think anybody will scare him. He likes to protect his teammates and he won't back off from anybody. He's the kind of guy you like to have on your team."
The Eagles pressed hard for the equalizer in the third period and got their opportunity at 11:10 when Louis Mandeville took a cross-checking penalty.
He pushed Cape Breton agitator Pascal Morency into the boards from behind and referee Rob Newson blew the play down after Morency appeared to hurt himself on the play.
"The referee made the call, but everybody knows Morency around the league," said Mandeville, hinting that Morency wasn't as hurt as he made out to be. But it's his call and I can't argue."
I've been doing a lot of research as well (I mentioned that hockey-fights thread in another thread here, even though that story along with it sounds like BS) and he's impossible to dislike, so long as he's on your team. He reminds of Steve Webb, only he can fight like Georges Laraque.
“During my first shift I was just trying to play my game, and their guy jumped me,” Morency said with a smirk that made it obvious he was trying to be facetious. "So I just told him we’ll go at it when we get out of the box. But that stuff happens sometimes.”
That "stuff that happened" between Morency and Gornick didn't last all that long, but it was long enough for him to make a point. And when he was done he skated back to the box, clutched at his jersey and played to the appreciative crowd.
Once again, looking to make a statement.
"I was letting them know that I'm proud to wear it, that I will go to war with it," Morency said. "I just wanted to show them that I want to be here.
I hope he makes it. Guys that can mix it up are always pretty key in the AHL game, where you've got lots of idiots that fall for the antics of guys like Bonvie and Sugden (and Morency).
