Even with Mckegg or Spooner in the lineup the Hounds are nowhere near
a mem cup contender
With Fritsch out probably for the sesaon this team lacks sufficient depth
to go deep into the playoffs
The aforementioned above players wont help this group
Sproul fractured jaw may throw a wrench in this for awhile..Fritsch would be nice but no definite word yet??
Plymouth certainly is the team to beat in the west right now..things change quickly come Jan 10 and looks like St John's is going to repeat..
Not sure how long a fractured jaw keeps a player out of the lineup..??
Anyways the water is terrible in the Soo..(Rhonda7)
Rumor Mckegg to Hounds???I doubt that but hey i can be wrong about everything here and it don't cost me a dime..most everybody else is too so what the heck.

Reason: addition
no way we are a buyers but unless we get our socks blown off with a deal
i dont think Brace or Crammarossa get moved
both will be back next year
Anderson is a different monster, if the deal is right I say trade him because he will be in the Sharks system next season I think. Teams like Oshawa and Saginaw could be possible locations.

I really don't think Mckegg will be going to the Soo, more likely London but a little further up the 401 would be better. It's nice to see somebody in the great north has a sense of humour. Thanks for the laughs donkey and wigs.
Do the Greyhounds now trade for a defenceman with Sproul out 6 weeks???? I would think that injury would put to bed any rumours about us trading any of our defenceman..
Would be nice to see another scoring forward but i doubt that is going to happen..
Fuller by the way looks like a good player
This isn't a rumour as much as a wish, I want Sean Monahan in a Colts uniform...he impresses the heck out of me...outside of the 95/96 guys I'd give up whatever it takes...
@RSpooner2376 gonna light it up in Sarnia with Yakupov and Co. Do not open until Jan7. Kujawinski will be Fronts and centre.
A high first rounder for a half season rental?
Don't forget, the Ice Dogs got Strome, Grovaldt, and 2 2nds for Pietrangelo at the same time of year. (However I have a feeling Williamson knew he was Niagara bound after that season)
Anyone have a source on the Mckegg to Niagara rumour?

Marty probably did , but having said that with all due respect to Spooner I don't he's had the same quality of experiences that Pietrangelo when he was acquired by the Colts. AP had been a contributor to a team that had some success, was a 4th overall NHL pick who had already played 18 NHL games, and had a couple of WJC experiences including a gold medal under his belt. Spooner has played on underachiving teams, never been through the first round of the playoffs, a mid 2nd round pick with no NHL experience yet, no WJC... Really not on the same level in my opinion.
I heard that Ottawa called and asked about both Robertson and Czinder but seems wired as they just got Broussard a few weeks into the season. Keep hearing London wants Robertson while there are 2 Team that are making serious offers for Khoklachev that has WR thinking about them.
I wonder if the Watson for Ritchie trade is still on the table.... If Sarnia can add both Spooner and Watson then they should be ok upfront.

but...................> too many cooks sometimes makes kitchen too busy.
Still though they would be fun to watch and likely would have to win a lot of 5-4/ 7-6 games in playoffs. And we all know how that works when your shooters have one bad night. That would be an offense that would have to score at a feverish pitch through 3 western series, and may run into Rangers/ Whalers or even London who are stingy.
Still would be very interesting team to watch.....especially if they land them all and Beauleiu pretty much has to. A bunch of that high end crew are gone next year so it's now or never.
If Sarnia go big with scorers I expect some team to make big pitch for Jared Tinordi in west to counter them.
Sarnia should be the team making the biggest pitch for Tinordi. They of the contending teams in the West need him the most. He's the best shut down Dman that may be available. Offense won't be the Stings problem when they are healthy and get Galchenyuk back in the line up, but I don't they can win with their current D.
Not sure if Sarnia could pull it off but the ideal trade for them would be getting Sol and Frankie Pallazzese (.939 save%) from Kitchener and dump Maxwell. http://www.ontariohockeyleague.com/roster/show/id/1240
It solves two of the biggest issues for Sarnia...a good physical shutdown defenceman and consistent goalkeeping.
Maxwells history shows he meltsdown even more in the playoffs but I'm just not sure what Sarnia has
that would interest Kitchener for next year.
Heard it from a couple different people that Troy Donnay has interest from a few teams... I'd like to see him dealt so he can get a fair shake and play some good minutes.
A team can't make moves with another team in another league in mind, thinking about the Memorial Cup.
A team makes moves to win their Conference. To a lesser extent, their League.
Don't crown St. John yet...they still have 4 rounds of playoffs to go
through...lots can happen.
It's Saint John, and they aren't, they can win the Q without making another move. They add a goalie and a shutdown D, no one will touch them regardless.

St.... Saint. sorry....
Besides, ask yourself why anyone in the OHL really cares what Saint John does.
The Barrie Colts are proud to announce today that they have completed a trade with the Saginaw Spirit.
The Colts obtain forward Anthony Camara and re-acquire defenceman Ryan O’Connor.
In exchange the Colts send Saginaw forward Eric Locke, goalie Clint Windsor, and three draft picks.
The Spirit get back their own 2nd round pick in 2013, Barrie’s 2nd round pick in 2012 and a conditional 2nd round pick in 2013.
Camara, a 19 year-old winger, has played two and a half seasons with the Spirit and has already posted a career-high this season in points with seven goals and 12 assists in 35 games played.
The Toronto native was originally picked 14th overall in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection, in the same draft the Spirit also selected Alex Lepkowski and Mark Scheifele.
O’Connor, a former first round pick of the Colts, was the captain of the Spirit and has 21 points in 37 games played this season.
The former sixth overall pick played 81 games in Barrie and put up 12 goals and 35 assists in a Colts uniform.
Eric Locke joins his third team in three seasons; the former Windsor Spitfire has 13 points in 21 games played this year.
Clint Windsor was originally a fourth round selection of the Colts in the 2009 OHL Draft and played a total of 46 games in Barrie.
