this were to happen, I sure hope Howson is gone. I don't want him to trade the current players to reconstruct our lineup. I would prefer the new GM Ifto change this team and start from scratch.

100% agree

And goal, atleast it won't be a shutout.
You will never want to watch hockey on TV again after seeing it live.

Especially since live = no Rimer.

That's a difficult point to argue against.

Gotta agree with you there! The new GM will hopefully have the cahones to pull the trigger and make the hard decisions instead of GMSH aka Barney Fife with the bullet kept securely in his pocket.

I know it's not all Mase's fault, but you gotta wonder how hard it is for these guys come up with a 'save of the game' when a guy has 15 saves on 18 shots

Carter can be sneaky dangerous.

I think the chance of Nash getting traded are pretty near 0, too. In the end, he has to ok it, and he's the cap'n. Love to see him turn it around here and put himself and the team on the map. Sure feels like a page needs to be turned, though, and maybe there's enough talent, with the addition of whomever may come our way in a Nash trade, to absorb the loss.

I keep wondering about Mase. Tonight he has made some big saves as he has been hung out to dry by our defense. He has let an easy one in, to be sure, but I wonder if we had better defensemen if we would even be talking about Mase. I think our defense stinks, so it is hard for me to judge Mase if he isn't getting help from his defense. Sanford, in my mind tonight, wouldn't have made a difference

I knew as soon as we had two guys trapped beneath the goal line, we were screwed.

Done. There has to be something more worthwhile I can spend my time on than watching a team that doesn't want to show up.

I feel the exact opposite. I think Nash is as good as gone in the off season. Yeah, he has a no trade. That just means he has a say in where he goes.

So posting with some of your fellow fans doesn't make the top of your list?

I don't know. On one hand, I completely agree that the defense is most of the problem. On the other hand, Mason has to stop some of those pucks. Sanford was capable of the timely saves and he often made them when he was running hot a few weeks back. I don't see that from Mason often enough to feel good about putting it all on the defense.

"as good as gone", really? that's a mouthful. But who's going to make that decision?
