Damn it only I was going tonight I need a new Heritage Jersey
FYI, the little stalls on the way in have the sales too (whatever they happen to be). Not always a tonne of stock but had blank heritages on Fri night. I'm guessing you mean you're not nearby, but if you can get there, you can still shop without a ticket.

Yeah, Thanks. But Im out on Long Island, If they were home on Wednesday when I was in the city I was going to stop by, but they weren't which is my luck lol
Absolutely fake. Crest on the front and numbers should be felt, not shiny twill, writing in neck should be sublimated, not stitched, underarm/side paneling absent, etc.
It will have a made in Canada tag, but I guarantee it is not.
And the WC patch on the shoulder is shiny as well, which is also wrong.

And puffy too. Patches are not puffy.
There was a Montreal thread last year or the year before that was posted by someone of the Canadians page which has a turn in your fake for 50% off a real one kind of thing. Anyway the post had all kinds of information about what a fake jersey has that a real one doesnt. It was very informative, and pretty much opened my eyes to the differences, subtle and not. Wish I could find it again.
I still wear my jersey I bought in 1994 to games...saves me on jersey costs! It is fraying a bit though so I got a new jersey for Christmas 6 years ago...vintage collection of course. The lettering at Cosbys cost more than the jersey!
They are fake. The biggest tip off I have found (On ebay, Internet, or anywhere else), is in the item description. when it doesn't mention it being a Reebok jersey, it isn't. These companies have been taking heat for copyright infringment and have gotten very careful in their item descriptions as to no overtly break any laws.
Also, look at the list of players they are selling. The fakes are generally manufactured with popular players from each team but sometimes they screw up. Higgins, Orr, straka, Gomez were all manufacured in bulk along with Gabby, Lundqvist, Staal, Cally. Anytime I see a Colton Orr jersey being pedaled I am 99.9% sure it is fake.
I'd be really careful with that one mate. They only accept payment through a 3rd party processor which I think is linked to a heap of knockoff chinese goods (google pay ease).

Some of the descriptions do say Reebok, but likely only due to a cut and paste job. The dead giveaways are that they list the premiers with numerical sizing like the authentics .... and that authentics come in a size 48, which doesn't exist in Reebok land.
Steer clear mate.
I don't condone fakes, but if you must get one for whatever reason, you can actually find cheaper on ebay without running the risk of credit card scamming.
For anyone in the market, Macys NYC currently has its remaining WC replica jerseys half price.
A few L and XL Richards, one XL Lundqvist, and one XL blank. All are tagged at $220, so I guess that makes them $110 (plus tax). Proper felt lettering and airknit(?) nameplate and all.

Yeah, it turned out it was fake. The good news is the seller refunded the money within an hour of me filing a conflict with eBay. So, they obviously know what they are selling and hoping enough people think they are getting the real thing.
It pisses me off, though, that the authentic WC were, and still are, impossible to find.

If you mean the jerseys ... I never said they were on the website. They are/were on a rack in the basement. The store has a fair bit of 'NYC only' related sport gear that doesn't make it to the national website.
I can definitely print an 'in store savings pass' from the site for the extra 15% off.

(Edit of sorts): It seems the store is closed today on the site. Extra 15% will expire, but if you know an out of towner, you can always get 10% off which is enough to avoid paying any sales tax.
Going to New York from Norway in June and are going to go to several shops I know are selling Rangers jerseys..
Are there any more places I should check out other than these;
* The Nhl Store
* Modells
* Cosby
* Macy
I know I should stay away from the several tourist shops that sells tshirts and stuff (cause theire fake) but are there more places I should check out ?
