See; rangers game, Boston game, Tampa game.

If you pressure our forwards and push them to the perimeter, it's like they can't adjust and shut down. They take bad angle shots and shoot into skates.

You're misinterpreting what I'm saying. Did I say the offense is bad? No. I said that they are being shut down easily. I'm afraid that teams are starting to figure them out.

nhl network analysts say that the flyers had bad posistional play tonight and that we didn't cover the front of our net.

Well losing Pronger was eventually going to catch up..too bad we don't have the goaltending right now to compensate better than last year which is pretty frustrating...

I watched one team badly out chance the other and still lose by 4 goals.

The power play and lack of finish was an issue, too. But bryzgalov has been so bad that it's the way larger issue right now

Wow looking at the box score it's pretty disappointing. Coburn was a -4. Pretty ugly. Of course Bourdon and Carle were our only + players haha. It's strange that all the Carle hate has settled down around here. Im hoping the same happens with Bryz

Carle has been facing easier competition now that he isn't on the top pairing with Pronger, facing down the best line on each team every night. As a result he doesn't get destroyed as often. Unfortunately, we can't only put Bryz on the ice when the other team ices their 4th line or something like that.

It's like we find excuses of why a player is playing well anymore. When Bryz starts playing better, I know people will give the credit to the defense and not him.

That PP goal was on the Carle (the one Voracek missed the pass on). You are taught in mites that on the PK, 1 d-man in the corner. They created a 1-on-2 in the corner when both defenseman went for the puck, but once they win that battle, its now a 3-on-1. terrible fundamentals. Carle has to stay out front.

Im starting to think we have a serious curse as we could have any goaltender in the league and once that black and orange goes on them, they immediately suck and become average. Its just not normal and yes our defensive coverage does suck compared to when we went to the finals against a very fast Chicago team.

All those chances amounted to one goal. If Bryz played excellent we still would have lost. The issue is not that we are getting bad goaltending. Its that we're playing bad defense and getting mediocre goaltending.

It isn't Bryz's fault that on three of the goals there was a man within 5 feet of the crease that was completely unchecked, or that on 2 of those goals it was Stamkos standing there by himself.

Bryz was brought here to be steady. To make all the routine saves, and some spectacular ones. He is not doing that right now, and he needs to be better. But there is only so much one person can do, and even if he had been playing well we still would have probably lost the last few games.

I half jokingly pointed this out back in October. At the time it was forgiveable because it was assumed that he has to get used to the speed of the game. Well...it's been two months, and while that's not an incredibly long amount of time, I'd really like to see some improvement in his ability to handle any sort of one timer. He flubs some really golden chances.

So does Jagr for that matter. Giroux has done the same thing.

Read obviously needs to work on his finishing, but to single him out for flubbing one-timers is a little unfair IMO.

I think Jagr has been the one most guilty of this for our team (and I'm a gigantic Jagr fan).

Eh, disagreed. Jagr has at least finished several of those chances, and so had Giroux. Read screws it up almost every time.
