I took the risk and got a Couturier jersey. I'd say a relatively safe bet, aside from the obvious ones, would be Simmonds. I think he'll be here for quite some time.

Don't know if this ist the right place, but I'm looking for a Flyers Hockey Fights Cancer hat. Like the one Talbot wears most of the time. Any ideas where I might find one?

Has anyone gotten an authentic Winter Classic jersey from Shop.NHL.com? If so how is the customization?

My next jersey is Timonen. He's earned it.

Customized WC Jerseys

Has anyone gotten a customized WC jersey from shop.nhl.com? I'm curious if the customized jerseys will have the same felt name/numbers as the pre-numbered ones. Or do you know if any of the usual jersey sites are using the felt for customs?

Which one of you jerks snapped up Schenn's 1st goal jersey off Meigray?!?

I was going there to get it like 5 mins after he scored it and someone had already snapped it up.

I was holding out to buy a WC Jersey to see if they won it or not. I like the jersey but the fact that it is tied to just a frustrating loss just kills the buzz of having one. If they wore the Jersey more than once then it's fine.

I know it's a dumb reason but I would always think about it whenever I'd put it on. Just the way my mind works.

They're probably putting that jersey in the hall of fame. They pick one jersey from each team. I think that's what happened to Danny syvret in the Boston winter classic

I totally agree and im the same way. I waited to see if they were gonna win especially because people on here said its a one gamer. It sucks cause it was our home winter classic jersey. It was a gut wrenching loss. I really felt like i was gonna vomit when it ended. I'll always be either mad or depressed when i look at those jerseys now, they really need to wear them again and win.

Well if Meigray is selling off the second period set, I dont see how they could take it away, especially if it has already been sold.

As well, one of Bartulis' WC gamers from 2010 is in the Hall, not Syvret

I took a picture of it during my last visit

They have a disclaimer:

Quote:
EXCEPTION: Full refunds will be given on pre-orders that cannot be fulfilled by the team or MGG due to non-delivery of the jersey, unavailability of the jersey due to circumstances out of the team or MGG’s control, if a player does not play in the jersey, or if the jersey is retained by the club for historical purposes, or if the jersey cannot be made available due to NHL game circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

For fun here are two excellent jerseys that I own. This Jagr one is excellent and very well made, everything sewn on perfectly and looks beautiful.

Second, this is my favorite jersey to wear around or at a general hockey event. I usually get some compliments, it's great.

You and I don't always have the most positive of interactions , but I definitely agree with you here.

And you shouldn't apologize for the way that you feel. If you were to buy something and it would give you negative feelings every time you use it b/c you think back to a bad event that happened, why would you buy it in the first place? It's like throwing money away. Or like paying someone to punch you in the gut.

You're reasoning makes perfect sense. Every time I see one of these one-off classic jerseys, I will think back to the event and the particularly painful way that we lost it too... how can you not? Like if I see someone w/ an all-star jersey on, I think back to the all-star game it is from. Or if I see someone w/ a Phillies jersey w/ the 08 World Series patch, I feel happy inside b/c I was there to witness the first Philly sports championship in my life.

I think associating the jersey w/ the event it is from is only natural.

It was a lot of fun, the alumni game, the anticipation, etc. But the way it ended was a huge letdown and I can't see how anyone would think you are dumb for not wanting a jersey from a loss.

As far as the Flyers WC jerseys yesterday, it appeared the numbers on the back were much larger than the numbers on the Premiers. I'm not sure about the sleeve numbers. I really couldn't tell. Do we know if Skate Zone or any other customizer will be using the larger numbers?

SZ had the larger numbers due to the fact, as it has been stated MANY times, THEY USE PHILLY EXPRESS WHO DO THE FLYERS ON ICE JERSEYS. If you go to Skate Zone and buy a jersey or give them a jersey to get customized ANY jersey that is current (Current Home, Current Road, 2010 Winter Classic, 2012 Winter Classic). You will get EXACTLY what the players have on their on-ice jerseys.

Maybe Schenn will get to keep his 2nd period jersey and Meigray will sell his 3rd period jersey instead

Highly unlikely. However, if I was the owner of that jersey, I'd be in contact with the Flyers immediately to see if I could arrange a meet with Schenn and trade that jersey for the 3rd period one.

How much does it cost for authentic numbering/lettering at SZ? I live close to the one in the NE.

Yeah but there is also the possibility Meigray pulled it after he scored the goal

MeiGray has a number of "milestone" jerseys so I'm not sure if they would have pulled it just because Schenn scored his first goal in it.
