$350K in Fake Winter Classic Gear Seized

http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/...136609228.html

Please note that the merchandise was to be sold at the same price as the official stuff... and that "Vendors who sell counterfeit goods to unsuspecting sports fans will be held accountable,"... This leads to the feeling by me that these people were different than those who sell them for dirt cheap, and therefore in all reality telling all but fools that they are fake... and this is a far more serious and outright wrong act than those who sell inferior fakes to those who cannot purchase the more expensive and better quality goods... due to cost limitations.

There is an at least moral difference as opposed to the legal questions of counterfeiting... In my mind it is not counterfeiting as is passing off a fake twenty dollar bill as a real twenty dollar bill... it is more trademark infringement... both wrong and both illegal... different levels of moral transgressions in my mind.

They are both wrong and I am not coming to the rescue on any side... I'm just sayin'.......

Yesterday they had a shot of the crowd where a family (I guess) was wearing the WC jerseys. Yet the numbers & nameplate were the home jersey white & not the vintage white that were used by the team itself. Any idea why that is? Is it just the Premiers?

For my authentic I am definitely going with a Giroux, I will Schenn-ify a replica later on once they hit Marshalls/TJMaxx.

A quick note on NHL players and the jerseys they wear for milestones, I have read that most prefer to keep the puck/stick, and only specialty jerseys matter to them. Such as they keep all-star/WC/SCF jerseys, but when it comes to goals and such, they prefer the instrument to the garment.

I think you might be the 5th one with that idea, I have a blank 1.0 authentic from Meigray that will have that done when funds allow it, I know a few others that have already had the same done.

Yea I'm eventually getting a set done of the 56 lol.

I currently have the kits for an authentic All Star Giroux and a Phantoms Giroux (authentic as well), and just ordered my kit for my authentic WC Giroux. Super stoked to get those made up.

I seen an authentic at the game the guy in my row was rocking one. Wasn't that impressed compared to the replica

Very possible they sold out.

There is a HUGE difference between the authentic versus the replica, and it's not more evident than with this year's Winter Classic. You're comparing an old CCM 550 replica to an Edge 2.0.

I didn't get to wear it just by looks. Also I was sitting in 416 and I seen a guy wearing the mark laforest alumni jersey autographed by the whole team. It was definitely the jersey it was like a dress on the guy he was smoking by the steps. I wonder how he got it

If Lindros, Leclair, or Roenick stayed low i'd consider it. They won't though.

Does Skate Zone customize the 3rds from 03-07? I checked "Flyers jersey kit" on ebay, but it looked like only our current jerseys. Any info is appreciated.

I have my eye on Parent or Clarke (gift for a family member)

and LeClair or Lindros for myself personally.

Although I doubt they end up staying low enough for me to get one of them.
