This is the funniest news ever. Garth is a robot who will never give a straight answer. He'll always say the same **** Wanger has scripted for him. I'm actually looking forward to this so I can hear Snow say the same exact things we know he's gonna say.

When watching the old one's the flat-out lies and hypocrisy shine through.
-We would made the playoffs if there were no injuries last year.
-Love the Gillies/Haley/Z line yet after the season breaks it off.
-Was funny seeing him confronted with the no one wants to play at the Islanders line though hehe.
Well, good to know Garth is still alive seeing as how he has been pretty invisible the past few weeks.
So, someone will ask the question "This team continues to lose every game. At what point will you get your head out of your ass and do something?"
And the question actually presented to Garth will be "We have so many great pieces for the future. How do you manage to do such a wonderful job of resisting the temptation to trade some of these players"
I have found the transcript to why Zenon Konopka was not re-signed so you all do not have to ask him why. Here it is:
Wang—Zenon Konopka, did you start that fight against Pittsburgh?
Coach Capuano- You don't have to answer that question!
Konopka- : I'll answer the question!
[looks at wang]
Konopka- You want answers?
Wang- I think I'm entitled to them.
Konopka- You want answers?
Wang- I want the truth!
Konopka- You can't handle the truth!
[pauses]
Konopka- “Wang, we play in rinks that have unwritten rules, and those rules have to be guarded by men with guts. Who's gonna do it? You? You Marty Reasoner? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You demote Michael Haley, and you curse the goons. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That Trevor Gillies suspension, while tragic, probably creates space for our skill players. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, helps with team unity. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about, at draft parties, you want me on that bench, you need me on that bench. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending our teammates. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of toughness that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a stick, and hit the ice. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to.”
Wang: Did you start that fight against Pittsburgh?
Konopka: I did the job I...
Wang: Did you start that fight?
Konopka: You're stinking right I did!
Snowjob- “Consider yourself free to sign elsewhere. “
I'm not too quick to praise other posts, but this is brilliant.
Anyone get the feed to work or can post answers (even though they are more then likely robotic and canned)?
Yes snowjob should be a politician. He has that the ability to look at you and answer a question without answering the question- LOL
Same old, same old. The losing is not acceptable, we are not going to make moves that do not benefit us long term, things have not worked as we had planned, blah blah blah.....
Bunch of fluff questions its like the staff made up questions, didn't bother asking my emailed question either.
-Rolston coming back tomorrow
-Ullstrom is going to be back relatively soon (couple weeks I would guess)
-DP unfortunately started skating today
-Snow cares more about character and hockey sense than anything else in a player
-Apparently we are in a "Rough patch"
Really this guy has some balls saying that, it's sad and pathetic how bad we have been since Snow has taken control. A rough patch is a 3 or 4 game losing streak, followed by some winning this team blows.
Our team record since 2007 is 136-178-48 that is PATHETIC. We are never going anywhere under the Snow/Wang regime.

I watched and got the same impression. The one thing that bugged me more than his canned answers was what he said about Nino. He said he told Nino in September that he is here to stay in the NHL for the year and because he is a "man of his word" Nino is an Islander this year. So instead of doing what is best for the team and best for Nino in the long run Snow sticks to his "word". I am now guessing in order for Rolston to waive his NTC to come here Snow guaranteed him top PP point time.
If Snow was really stuck to his "word" we would be a playoff team. SNOW MUST GO! NOW!
Cool, think I will take up a Pensacola Ice Flyers game instead of watch him skate over the blue line only to ignore his teammate and shoot a shot 3 feet wide of the net. Wonderful.

I read in today's Newsday (kindle version) they've been mixing the lines in practice. Okposo is on the line with Tavares and Moulson, PA is on the 2nd line with Neilson and Rolston, Bailey between Nino and Grabner. I don't know if Cappy will keep those lines for the next game against Calgary, but I like Okposo playing alongside Tavares.

I like that they are switching the lines up a bit, but that second line looks terrible. Rolston is absolutely useless why is he even in our lineup? Definitely does not belong on our second line.
I would really like to see Bailey and Okposo playing together, along with moving Nielsen to our 3rd line where he belongs. He clearly does not belong in the top 6, pathetic that he is still playing there.

I find your criticism of Rolston unfair. I saw him pass it once and I think on occasion he gets within 2 feet of the net.

I agree with you on Rolston and Nielson, but I do like the change on the 1st and 3rd lines. I think Okposo will be an upgrade to PA playing alongside Tavares and putting Bailey and Grabner together is a good move too.

If it makes you feel better, that was probably the cover up the fact that Nino is really staying up so that the team can get the extra cap hit without paying it out.
I can't believe people are nitpicking over fourth line players for the worst team in the conference. They didn't get this bad because of Reasoner or the lack of Konopka. Even if Reasoner was everything they hoped he'd be, the team would still be at the bottom. If they had Konopka instead, they would have a little more toughness, but still be at the bottom. So what.
