Not to mention the additional leverage this adds to the whole "no offense" thing just before the trade deadline.

We need too much and GM's will want to make us pay too much.

What a shocker. Dean Lombardi's cursed when it comes to signing free agent forwards.

I'm quite suprised Willy Mitchell is still going strong. Knock on wood.

Is Boyes even available?

First, this sucks for Gagne and his family so get well soon.

Of course, the next thing I'm gonna say, is that a trade needs to happen to resolve this.

Boyes is a right wing.

He is a UFA at the end of this season. And he has 10 points, 3 goals and 7 assists, 10 points and is a -2 in 26 games.

He has been pretty good lately for the Sabres...not producing but he definitely has been a bit of a spark plug.

Dean has signed three UFA forwards he's worked with before. Two of them got seriously injured. Don't sign anymore of these guys please.

He had a big beard last night. He said, `Donít talk to me about my concussion until I shave my beard.í So I look at him and I just ask him how his day is going.í
So what are the Kings gonna do?

Sorry to hear about Gagne, but I like the lines we're rolling right now.

The way Quick is playing, that's all the Kings will need.

What's wrong with a RW? We need a RW more than a LW imo. Remember, Brownie can easily move over to LW if needed. I actually like him better as a LW.

Unfortunately with Gagne's history, I can't see him back too soon. It sucks, but if anyone knows how to recover from one, it's Gags. I wouldn't expect to see him back until at least late season.

Damn. I hope he recovers fully. Simon, even before he was on the Kings was and is one of my favorite players to watch. Get well Gagne.

How is this one different from Gagne's case?

http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=6...id=DL|NHL|home

The only difference I see is, that Gagne is out with concussion (could be his last career injury) and in this case there was no injury.

It's really discouraging to have heard that Sutter has not even really MET Gagne, said he basically saw him going to and from TSC on occasion and that's it (this was according to Helene Elliot's article).

It's not exactly a shocker given Simon's history but I was pulling hard for him here. He turned it on late in the season last year and showed signs of being the top-level two-way guy he was with the Flyers. To hear he had this kind of setback is not good news at all. He's kind a whole bunch of aggravating factors here (history, age, etc). The big thing will be his ability to lead a symptom-free life, then thinking about getting back on the ice.
