Phaneuf is a number one defenseman and he would be one on virtually every team in the NHL. I do not think this, I know this.

No he would not. There are plenty of teams that have better "number ones" than Phaneuf.

it's hard to take your opinion seriously when you keep dodging the question.

You really wanted the Leafs to tank even more 2 years ago?

Are you a closet Bruins fan?

You should change your perspective.

Desjardins estimates that about 40% of the game is captured by Corsi analysis.

Not trying to start anything here, but I bet I could name atleast 10 teams without looking even thinking that have a better #1.

Never said there were not any better defenseman then Phaneuf out there but how does that not make a Phaneuf a number one defenseman?

Interesting to watch, for the first time, the wonderfully complex, masterfully coached and executed machine that is the New Orleans Saints offense. And then the next night, to once again be treated to the most humungous pile of sh** in the sporting world, the Leafs pk.

Extensions for everybody.

You said he would be a number one on almost every team in the NHL that is just bs there are 20 teams someone that would be better then him and therefor he would not be a number one on that team.Either you are just plain stupid or trolling

Yes and no.

They did not have the worst PK for each of those 4 years.

I don't have the time to crunch the numbers, but I've got a good inkling that they had the worst PK over that whole period.

By claiming that Phaneuf would be a number one on "virtually every team in the NHL", you are basically saying that he is better than almost every other team's number one? That's how I interpreted it.

Phaneuf is a #1...but I want him to play with that intensity everyone talks about. I haven't seen that since the end of October.

I don't understand all of this Kadri hate on the Frost post-game show. He's showed the most hockey sense on this team in the last 3 games, is consistently making plays and creating chances.

Yet 2 callers already have said he's not ready and he needs to be sent back down or traded. Is the Leafs fan base seriously this ********?

With that statement he said that Phaneuf is "virtually" the best defenseman in the NHL.
