And I don't think he will stay in NA if he is forced to play AHL hockey. Then it's better for him to stay in KHL since he will make more money there. Do you guys think he is good enought for the NHL next year? If not, I THINK we can forget about Petrov.
Why would Florida trade Kulikov???

Does any one know if Nino will be eligible to play in the AHL playoffs after the Isles season is done?
I think he can if Bridgeport saves a roster spot for him, but I'm not 100% sure.

Looks like Klementyev is done.

#Isles place D Anton Klementyev on unconditional waivers. Refused to report to ECHL assignment, contract being terminated.
Fine by me. Never really saw what was so special about him anyway.

Ithink you're better off asking in the Prospects section. There are many who follow the WHL there

Second row at game tonight, now I come home to find Casey with two helpers, and now second in rookie scoring in AHL...pretty good night.

Brian Day (2006 6th rounder) who was signed by the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, retired from hockey to pursue a business career. I know he wasn't Islanders property anymore, but I found this pretty interesting.

Only played 10 games this year. Injury contributed to this decision?

Supposedly he had a good camp for WBS, but then got hurt and missed half the year. He came back and played the last 10 games in ECHL, but then retired out of the blue.

He'd probably make a better living out of his business than playing in the ECHL so I'm not surprised at all

Ugh that hit looked bad. I hope KK is OK. That seems like a concussion written all over it.

That would be an automatic Shannaban. He got kicked out of the game so the refs thought so too. I wonder if this is the only angle. My bet is the Cameron kid will get a suspension.

Dunno what the announcer in the video is so surprised about.
That was as clearcut a headhunt as possible.
Rarely is the targeting of the head THAT obvious.

Yup. It was a nice move by Kabanov too, he's a talented kid. Hopefully he recovers quickly with no long-term effects.

So 3 of our top 5 prospects have injuries and two were head injuries...
1) Strome- Face got punched in.
2) de Haan- Shoulder
5) Kabanov- Had his head damn near knocked clean off...
This does not help my aspirations for taking a big step with these guys next season.

Kabanov's concussion is a light/mild one, but he's got quite a few minor injuries he's nursing so its not a bad thing that he's getting a few days off.

Unquestionable. And someone needs to take Cameron's head off when he comes back.
