Congrats, he's a PPG in 6 games.
So are a lot of players making significantly less than him.
He hasn't even cracked 30 points yet.

Ppg rate is better, but come back when OV is at a gpg rate. THAT'S the old OV.

Ovechkin GP34 G12 A13 P25
Dupuis GP36 G11 A14 P25
The difference? Ovechkin makes almost six times Dupuis' salary.

We all know Ovechkin has made much more for the capitals that the salary they are paying him will ever account fro tho. Same as with Crosby and he isn't playing so he isnt worth his contract right

Heck, Jannik Hansen has 11G 10A 21P in 36GP and he makes 1.35M.

6 points in 6 games used to be a slump for this guy. Congrats, I guess.

It's good to see Ovechkin pick up the pace a little. When was Ovechkin's last multi-point game?

Premature thread creation. It's a good start, but I'll get excited when the 3 point games start coming with some regularity.

Ovechkin had one 6 game stretch in 09/10 where he put up 14 points. THAT was impressive. This? Not so much.

He's on pace for 59 points this year.
Let me know if he even cracks 30 goals this year.

I have a feeling there are a lot of "better" current points streaks happening in the NHL right now.
