No, we are waiting to have all the GM's choose their team name and their lottery number.

I have the sim setup, I am just altering some ratings as the goalies are absolutely brutal!

dawgbone had told me there was room and contacted me about filling one of the vacant spots. I tried to post last night but the boards were down. Anyway if there is still room Im game to go. I've been in FHL leagues with both DB and George Bachul so Im not new to this. I'll PM my list to YKOil in the morning. You'll find Im not as big of an @ss as my (limited numer of) posts would suggest, its ususally cause I only post here when things get me steamed or annoyed and so forth though I lurk a lot. In fhl I always have an opinion and am more..........diplomatic......95% of the time anyway

I'll pick number 19. And with all the Edmonton and area teams I'll add a little spice and sell my soul putting a team in Calgary. We will be the Calgary Trashtalkers.

Players list:

http://www.internationalhockeyleague.net

just go over the players list, and look through it... I had to do a hell of a lot of editing already, but there are more guys I missed.

If there are players who are prospects and shouldn't be on there (i.e. Patrick O'Sullivan is one guy I deleted already), or guys who have retired, let me know.

Also, if you think a guy is rated too high or low, tell me. Don't go based on overall though!

The important things are Speed (SP) Strength (ST) Passing (PA) Puck control (PC) Defensive awareness (DF) Scoring (SC)...

Secondary things are Intensity (IT) Endurance (EN) Durability (DU) and Discipline (DI) Skating (SK) Experience (EX) and Leadership (LD).

Overall isn't calculated very well, and it's just a broad generalization. The individual characteristics are the most important.

I really just skimmed it but one guy who jumped out at me Was Korolyuk. He had 19 goals in 63 games and only has a 65SC, Tanguay had 25 in 69 and has a 75, Frolov had 24 in 77 and has a 73. I figured that ok they must not be projecting over a full season, but then I looked at Zhamnov and his 11 goals in 43 games gave him a 64 sc. It sems that Korolyuks pace for about 24 goals should put him just a notch below Frolovs 73.

I've always felt that with ratings you should project over 82 games because if you dont the player is getting punnished twice, once in having a lower rating and once in having a low DU which means that they will be hurt more often. So fora guy being injured you get a guy who is 1) hurt half the time in the sim and 2) less effective than he should be when he is playing as he is rated too low.

Probably nothing we can do at this point but for future ratings this is something to think about. If I have more time later I may point out a few more guys if that is ok.

Keep 'em coming!

These aren't my ratings. I've changed about 70 or 80 players, most of whom were goalies (only 3 were rated 80 or higher, with Brodeur at a 87).

Do me a favour though and PM them to me, much in the same way Fincan did it here.

Just a heads up, guys who have a proven track record of scoring may get a few points over a guy who did it once.

I'd like to join the draft. I'm a newbie to FHL and simhockey but this could be my third one this year, as watching the NHL can't be my hobby this year.

I'd like the number 26 and I'll send my list of players by PM in the next hour.

I would like to join! I just sent an email to YKOil... My email is peck90@gmail.com... I've been in a fair amount of FHL leagues. I think George Bachul was in two of those... So ya, can I have a team?
