The only Kitimat born player currently in the NHL is on Anaheim - Rod Pelley. I know a few of my neighbours will be rooting for him. Personally...I want to see him and the Ducks CRUSHED!

Odds on Perry getting in a gloved-punching-match with one of the Twins, Kesler or Burrows...?

In typical Perry fashion he'll probably take on Raymond and pull the tough guy act.

He could have been talking about Boyd Gordon, Mark Fraser or Jason Blake

Ducks are always a challenge, no matter their place in the standings

I'm predicting a tight, 3-1 win to leap into 1st place overall in the league

I prefer a player with three first names...

Alex Pietrangelo (tip of the hat to Donnie Taylor from the days when Frank Pietrangelo tended net)

For those who do not know who Frank Pietrangelo was - just mention "THE SAVE" to anyone watching the powerhouse Pens of those years:

There is only one true moment known as 'The Save'

That is a different one... THE SAVE by Pietrangelo is all in caps and sometimes even bolded as THE SAVE.

Kirk McLean made The Save... see the difference.

Plus Pietrangelo was only playing due to an injury to Tom Barasso - he would go 4 wins and 1 loss in his moment in the spotlight.

This. I think AV should write on the board as the players get to the Rink: "Remember Calgary"

If the Canucks come to play it will be tough, but the ZDucks are going to be no pushover. 4-3 Vancouver win.

Anaheim is not as bad as people think.

They have brutal defense, but they can easily put up 3/4/5 goals.

This is a game where we're going to have to play tighter defensively and really use our speed to rush the puck in. Shoot whenever you get a chance because Hiller's been shakier than a someone with Parkinson's and he'll be easy to get rattled if they get at him early. Selanne is a tricky mother****er (who I love dearly) and seems to pick apart looser defensive systems like no one else.

I'm not too afraid of Getzlaf, he's been sensationally blase and lazy this year. I'd watch out for Ryan since he's got something to prove, and Perry as usual.

They are as bad as their record indicates; a horrendous defensive team that has limited goal scoring outside of their stars (who are struggling besides Selanne). With Koivu injured the Ducks' second line center is Bonino; either Henrik or Kesler is going to be getting mad soft match-ups all night.

You know that several of the Ducks will be inspired by the Thornton goof show and try a few of the same type of tactics on the Nucks

Both the Ducks and the Sharks can be a volatile nasty bunch of holes

So Ducks, take all the penalties you want

We really should dominate this game tonight but I still have my doubts. Here's hoping I am proven completely wrong by the team. Get it done boys.

7-5 Canucks.

I don't think Koivu is playing.

AV and company can't underestimate the Ducks, their first line could single handedly tear us apart if we don't focus on them. the Nucks just need to play 100% like Anaheim is any other team and they should be fine.

The Nucks need to play 100% like Anaheim is a contender and not a sub 500 team.

I hope that AV ***** slapped them all after that Calgary game and told them to give it their all no matter what.

They could have slacked against the Oil but they didn't.
