for sure!
I think this team has a level of unreached potential that we've seen in glimpses like in that blow out game we had against tampa and the close win we had against the stars.
all teams have a "funk" period, i think we're maybe in the latter half of one right now

Reimer let's in a terrible goal = team is to blame.
Reimer sucks for a couple of games straight = give him time to settle down.
Reimer let's a goal in on a PK = PK unit is to blame.
Reimer let's in a missed shot on a breakaway = defender is to blame.

Funny how it's always the exact opposite for Gustavsson.
Reimer did nothing this year to deserve the start tonight. Probably not even last game. If he's shaky again tonight,I wonder what people are gonna say to keep giving him starts instead of Gus.

Apparantly, the Panthers weren't that beatable. The Canes won't roll over and die either.

After watching the Juniors last night, I've concluded, and I'm sure MANY others have as well:

Passing. This is absolutely the number 1 problem with this team. Lazy, sloppy, soft, and never tape-to-tape.

Even guys like Franson, Gardiner, and Connolly seem to be getting worse, which leads me to believe that it's not a player to player issue, it's bigger than that.

All part of the disorganization of this team.

I feel like a lot of the guys really aren't sure how to position themselves.

both are correct. boston doesn't really have the fastest skaters, but they are a quick team in terms of how well they can move the puck.

Disorganization? Wilson is a great coach! Burke is sure of it.

He's 3-0-0 with a 0.66GAA lifetime against Carolina. That should solve the mystery.

I think that poster was being sarcastic.

But a players coach that doesn't even talk to his team's best player? Heh.

Toronto Maple Leafs @ Carolina Hurricanes
(18-14-4, 40 PTS) @ (12-20-6, 30 PTS)

Preview:

Last 10: Toronto 4-4-2; Carolina 4-4-2

Thanks for stepping up, LeeIs

GDT Guidelines

.... if you do own the GDT and it is not up 1HR before puck drop at the latest... brace for the heat. There'll be chaos and expect things go downhill after that
We could safely assume anything goes beyond that point (i.e. anyone is welcome to start a GDT by then).

* If no one is assigned on game day, it's considered open to everyone. Please post one up at least a few hours before puck drop. Thanks All!

Better hope Ward isn't on his game so we can pot at least three to surmount the inevitable two powerplay goals we give up.

Kadri should get a penalty for cross-checking Gardiner during the pre-skate

Thursday's Projected Lines:

Forwards:
Lupul - Bozak - Kessel
MacArthur - Connolly - Kadri
Frattin- Grabovski - Kulemin
Boyce - Steckel - Crabb

Defence:
Aulie - Phaneuf
Gunnarsson - Schenn
Gardiner - Franson

Goaltenders:
Reimer
I love looking at these lines and then hearing people complain about Grabovski all the time... Yes he will produce big with the guy that can't finish and the guy that is slumping. Grabovski do it all brother you're the one man Belarussian Army!

Maybe he should try something different instead of doing exactly what he quoted on TSN just a few minutes ago... The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. Ironically that quote was used to describe Wilson by myself and another on these boards to describe Wilson more than once. Hilarious coincidence.

Exactly, I'm a big fan of Reimer but whenever he gives up a goal.. it's never his fault around here

People were blaming Gus last night for the goal he gave up..when it deflected off Gunnar's stick.

IMO, Gus is playing better right now, but we're going to need Reimer to come up with the next 2 wins to calm the nerves around here or this place will explode if we're out of a playoff spot.
