It's been said that when Ron Zook's grandfather, who was Belarussian or something, came to the United States, his name was transliterated into English. It was about 30 letters long, so the immigration agent scratched out 26 of them and left them with "Zook".

There are also the various league wide charity patches, but I don't think you're after those.

As far as finding high quality blanks, all that's really out there are edge 1.0 authentics. I've not seen any 2.0 blanks, retail or team issued. You'll want to make sure you get one that's made in Canada. Last year, Reebok transitioned to retail authentics made in Indonesia and they are horrible.
There's Hockey Fights Cancer, the Katrina/NHL Cares fund, the Garth Brooks/Teammates for Kids patch...I think that's all.

If you really want to go nuts, get a Pro Player authentic and throw an NHL2000 patch on it.

Worn on ProPlayer jerseys at the original jersey unveiling, but never worn on the ice.

Worn during the 2000-2001 regular season.

Mayor would know best, but this one was worn a few times and only by the Captain.

Worn on 10/7/05 during the first period of the first home game.

Worn on 1/9/07.

Worn during the 2008-2009 season.

For three games played in Sweden (exhibition game verses Malmo Red Hawks on 10/5/10 wearing the white jerseys, a home game verses the Sharks on 10/8/10 and an away game verses the Sharks on 10/9/10) the Jackets wore this patch.

Worn during the 2010-2011 season on the home and away jerseys.

Not a patch but a special item only used for the 2010-2011 season and only on the 3rd jerseys.

More info can be found on my website. https://sites.google.com/site/columb...tsjerseyguide/

That particular one was from the 2000-01 (inaugural) season. The ones from 2001-02, 2002-03, and 2003-04 all featured the season running vertically along the right side of the patch.

It's only been used once since the lockout, that being the 2007-08 season. It's the same basic logo, but uses gray in place of the orange.

And they were only worn by the C right?

Picked up a batch of stuff from a former OSU player. Stuff given to him by the club, players, teammates. Nothing really great, but some of it fills some holes in the collection, including practice jersey styles I did not have previously. In all, there were three practice jerseys, a helmet, an equipment bag, some unused team issued clothing (hoodie, baseball hats, puck) and a signed Freddie Braithwaite stick (lol).

(these are really nice, btw. I'm not sure you can get anything other than blue or red at retail)

The helmet is an older CCM HT500. It's just clean enough that I'll probably use it for this coming season's autographs.

I seem to recall an alternate captain wearing it at one point, but my memory is hazy.

But yes, the captains wore them, and they were then auctioned off.

Thanks to Mayor for letting the cat out of the bag on this one...and thanks to everyone else for not bidding

2007-08 Quebec Remparts Jonathan Audy-Marchessault

I've wanted a Remparts jersey for awhile, but never found the right player or connection to the CBJ. Really like this style quite a bit. It's also possible it was used for the 08-09 season. A hole in the left sleeve would seem to match this photo:

Please, if you saw what I picked up instead of that, I'm quite happy to have pointed it out and then not bid.

Another great pickup. I love that jersey, hopefully JAM makes the team and provides a real spark ala Camsanity.

That Letestu is a great jersey!! I somehow missed that you posted that. I saw you at the SAS event and wondered if you were you because you said you were going to try to get one! Congrats. The gamer thirds are really great, and fit/feel so much better than even the authentics.

FYi... I was in the blue line this afternoon and asked about my jersey I ordered. Apparently the hold up with completing them is that the Blue Line got the wrong type of patches sent to them. The patches they have in stock apparently have a hard cardboard backing and aren't meant to be put on jerseys etc. He was expecting the new, correct patches to come in any day now.

I believe he said that there were about 3 other jersey orders like mine waiting for the patch to be corrected before they were completed. He did say that if they come in today, they had an agreement with the customizer it could be completed as soon as Friday. I'm in no hurries since we are still a few weeks away from camp potentially opening but I thought I'd pass this along in case anyone else is waiting for a jersey too.

There's always this topic that explains how to take care of the hard backing. Several people mention different methods, but it all involves application of heat (below the temperature of a heat press) to separate the plastic from the patch.

Thanks,

I'll remember that fact if I am doing any self application to a jersey in the future. I actually do have a 10th season patch I've been meaning to have added to a white jersey I own.

My son is in Wolfsburg, Germany and found this in the team shop. CBJ Blake Sloan. They are the Wolfsburg Grizzly Adams. He bought it.

The CBJ Facebook page suggests these things just became available.

They have Anisimov as of last week because I bought one. Unless they came in this week, they do not have Dubinsky in stock yet. They might have them now but he was the only new player missing a week ago.

Anyone have a blank London Knights jersey from around 04-05 that they'd be willing to sell? Or know anyone that does? Looking to make myself a #3 Methot jersey to go with my Crunch and CBJ jerseys I have (and a future Ottawa jersey).

You're looking for a Knights Reebok airknit with vector logo. Good news is that, with London being a popular team, there's a ton of them around. Bad news is that, with London being a popular team, a lot of people aren't willing to move them.

What size are you looking for?

There's also the green alternate from that year; the last one I've seen was this eBay auction.
