i can't believe you guys spend so much on jerseys! i have one jackets jersey and then the ones i have worn as a player that i was able to keep (stupid high school )
It's all relative. Some people probably spend the same amount on beer each season/year. I was sort of moving from one hobby to another, so I just used funds from one to pay another. My goal was always to get one jersey for each game for an entire season. Now that I'm there, I tend to sell one off before I buy another one...sort of sustains itself now.
not a jersey, but this is the kind of thing I think is neat...love history, even if it is a little sad to look back upon...not sure if it's obvious, but the item inside is a puck.
IMO Overpriced. He wont get any bids at that price.
I know the seller. I think he probably knows that, but has hope...
The sad thing is, he almost certainly paid $800+ for it. Not as bad as the Brule or Zherdev rookies that were over $1k, but still...just goes to show, if you buy game worn stuff, hopefully you like the player enough to just keep it forever or be prepared to take a loss.

i wasn't judging and i hope i didn't come off that way.. it was just fascinating to me. i wish i had that amount of cashola to throw around! i am just jealous, if anything.

Have you seen this jersey? Filatov only played in 13 games, yet the jersey has multiple repairs?

and those dorsett gloves are super pretty.
Can anyone tel me if the modifications to the fingers on Dorsett's gloves are typical? Or maybe just done by fighters? Or unique to Dorsett?
If you look closely at the photo I posted, the last three fingers are opened up and then sewn in a "mitten" style. The thumb and pointer remain individual. They are hand stitched/modified. Both gloves.
Don't know much about hockey, but if this is typical, why don;t they just make the gloves this way from the factory?

Thanks in advance for any info.
that is atypical these days.. thy actually used to make "3 finger" gloves (mission I know for sure did) where the ring and pinky were combined.
Looks like a match. Look how close to the red line the patch is and also the pic on the site says it was taken in October. This is a Set 1 Jersey. Look at the differences.
Patch.
Now here is the match.
Here is the one that doesnt match..see the difference..
If anyone grabed the blue 70 russell jersey my ex has the matching stick up on craigslist. I know it's the stick he used in his first nhl game that year.
