Butch has gorwn on me. There is no one that I would rather have. He is entertaining. He does do a pretty good analysis. I love when the ref's miss a call or somthing and Butchie gets very sarcastic. He is going ot be around a long time. He will go into the Isles HOF as a announcer in 2030.

Butchie will probably be ok with the calm studio setting. He just gets flustered when he gets too excited or overstimulated. Unless that tool E.J. stirs him up I don't expect any gems for the Butch Hall of Fame.
Too bad Butch is so miscast for the color analyst job. Can't forget he is an Islander hero from the dynasty years, and we a hell of a good hockey player with 888 career NHL points and a Conn Smyth on his resume.

In a way Butch is eerily similar to the Islander organization. He's constantly fumbling and all his mishaps make it all very entertaining. Always great to get a few chuckles during the game, while watching such a sad, sad team.
