Playing just well enough to lose. That's this team's modus operandi these days...

Oilers lose to the worst team in the league - again.
Glad we don't have to see them manage to pull wins out of their ***** while getting outplayed anymore this year.

That was a pretty horrendous PP to end the game. Does anybody want to shoot? Eberle what were you doing?

Teubert played well. Hall played very well. Eberle and Nuge were okay too.
These guys are part of the future, and that's where we should expect success.
Hemsky is a goddamned paperweight. No Kids on the 4-on-4 is unacceptable.

I thought they played well
Khabibulin needed to make that save when it was 2-1, but otherwise it was a solid effort. For once the Oilers had some push back in the third. Of course they didn't tie it up, but they never do...
At least they didn't give up. For all the criticism the vet line gets, they started the come back in the third and had the best chances to tie it up.

Hahaha, nobody pisses away 12 minutes of hockey like the Edmonton Oilers do. After Horcoff scored it should have been GAME ON but the outcome was so predictable.
Absolutely pathetic effort on the 6 on 4. The entire franchise should be ashamed of itself.

Good effort by the Oilers at the end. On the road to competiveness. Defenitly an improvement from last year compete level

Why is it when we open it up and go end to end we are a good team? Can't the coaches see that?

You can't spell Oilers without L-O-S-E-R.

Pretty depressing, Ebs had the tie on his stick off that sick feed from RNH, but it just hopped over his stick.
Good effort at least, but same result.
Thank ****ING god no more Wild this year.

At least it was a pretty competitive season series, they never rolled over and died like they do in so many other games vs the nw
And the season series is done, thank effing god.
edit: i see i'm not the only one who feels this way lol

Slump busters.
Can't say I'm shocked at the outcome. At least the compete level was higher than the norm. Hall was a force and Tubes looked great.

Yeah, I remember reading that the 2010/2011 "compete level" was an improvement over 2009/2010's too. Progress?

He's just mad.
It's pretty clear we dominated the last 12 minutes of that period, it just wasn't enough to make up for defensive failures earlier in the game.

At least they competed tonight but WTF was that in the last minute? Way too casual and Eberle had one of his worst games in a long time but he was due for a clunker after his long stretch of stellar play.
Peckham is god awful and Petry isn't that much better at least defensively, their brutal play in the 2nd cost the team the game, it's as simple as that.
At least the Horcoff line showed some jump finally. Hopefully Hemsky turns a corner now because he at least put forth an honest effort for a change. I'll need to see more efforts like this from him to believe that he has finally pulled his head out of the clouds.
Hall was terrific but i don't like how he handled the last minute, he held onto the puck for way too long while the clock bled away but he was the biggest reason why the team even had a chance so can't complain too much.
Ah well, here's to more moral victories and more losses in reality.

The Wild's minimal chances on Dubnyk after the 10 minute mark managed to be more dangerous. At least the Wild can hit the net.

There are some tangible improvements this year to be honest. Statistically the Oilers are better in almost every category than they were last year.
That's a start.
