And they may make you skate faster but when you fall, there's no friction against the ice like socks create there for you hit those boards hard. The speed would cause more man games in injuries than goals.

If the Habs go to Cooperalls I'll be deeply ashamed.
Could you imagine if the Cooperalls would be Red like the sweater.. that would be so awesome

And for road games, they could be white! It would be like, stealth players. You don't even know they're on the ice, and WHAM!

Now let me start by saying that I have been called a lot of things.

And let me finish by asking, why would you expect more from me?

Anyway, if anything, I am a firm believer in populism and its merry plaything, democracy. And the polls tell the story. No cooperalls for nos glorieux this season...

Yeah.. Andy Van Hellamond was a pretty cool dude!!

But the additional areodynamics of the Cooperalls didn't help the Hartford Whalers See here

I remember playing pond hockey as a youngster and one of the guys used to wear Mechanic's coveralls when he played. So rather than cooperalls we called them cooveralls. Ha ha.. well it was funny at the time.

Those are some great pics! The one of Butch Goring and his papier maché hat almost brought me to tears.

I love to see all the people that are actually all serious about it. It's the funniest. They're like : NO WAY !!!!!. Hahahaha common guys I would ****ing wear cooperalls for fun if I could find some. That would make for a really good laugh, but obviously the Habs would never consider wearing them.

The only way I could be swayed to vote "yes" would be if they are red and velvet. Otherwise, this discussion is over.

Compromise? White velvet bell-bottom Cooperalls, studded with red rhinestones (detracts from the stealth approach a bit, alas), tinted visors, blue suede Micron skates, neon-hued Titan hockey sticks, and everybody has to do their hair like Kerry Fraser.

(Where's Gilbert Dionne when you need him, eh?)

To extend this idea the Habs could wear white skates like the Seals used to, which would complete the stealth. However it would mean no blue blade holders.

I gotta say, these new vote totals are really encouraging. I think the pro-cooperall spike is directly correllated to mcphee's mention of fishnets.

The more interesting question (and poll) would be: Who'd look better in fishnet Cooperalls?
