Sources say no setback for VAN defenseman Keith Ballard and he's feeling better recovering from his concussion.
Ballard can return from the LTIL March 19th in Minnesota.
Ballard taking it slow. No timetable for return. Day to day.
The problem will be making cap room to bring him back during the regular season.
Yeah, it'll be difficult, so he may just have to take it super slow. Although, why not just give someone a papercut and put them on IR for a bit or something for rest.
OK there... what's wrong with asking about such a drastic turnaround in a short period of time?
I just don't see how it's "drastic". He would start feeling better at some point and there isn't really a timetable for concussion symptoms. Some guys don't know if they're in real life when they get their head smashed but are back on the ice the next day - others get progressively worse - others get bad then get good.

And sometimes a player is suffering symptoms and then one day, no symptoms. As concussion guru Dr. Karen Johnston says it is a completely individual response and that is why her now standard concussion treatment protocol focuses upon symptoms and not how the concussion initially graded.
AV presser today - Ebbett getting closer to a return but will not be on this upcoming road trip.
Vancouver Canucks @VanCanucks
AV: Ebbett is coming along well. Will likely not join the team on this road trip, but will evaluate when #Canucks return.
Ebbett went from Sicamous to Salmon Arm to full ride in for the Wolverines in three years. Him making it to the NHL when he was playing junior B during his draft year is a miracle. I remember sitting by a college scout who i just told Ebbett was not as good as another player on the team. Ebbet ended the game with slapsot off the crossbar in off the rush. The Silverbacks were an expansion team, Ebbett might not have gotten the same chance without that team. He was overlooked by his hometown Vipers team. Also he went to the Wolverines a year early as one of their players left college early opening a spot for him. So after four years with Michagan a few more in the AHL he is in the NHL. Pretty impressive for a small guy who needed some good fortune to make it into the BCJHL. His injury from the Boston game was overlooked. He was playing really well before that. I do not think he should play in the playoffs, but if he does, i would not be surprised to see him produce a goal or two as he has always performed under pressure.
