The pace is:
2 injuries in 1 game.
In 7 games we will have 14 injuries.

That is not fine.

I really want to see Duco, but they won't bring him up!
Duco in today's game would have made it an even bigger circus.

Getting out of Boston with one key player gone is a success. It could have been far, far worse.

Wow, didn't realize Ebbett was rocked that bad. He got up and skated back to the bench, as if he was a bit shaken up... our tweeners are dropping like flies.

Ebbett staying in Boston for surgery. I mentioned last year when Raymond was hurt that fortunately Boston has some of the best hospitals in North America. As long as the surgeon isn't a diehard Bruins fan, he's in good hands.

Salo traveling with the team to Florida.

I love Duco, such a pest in the games we saw. I'd love to see him get a shot at least. We could always tell him to tone it down a bit, but to a point where he can still chirp off and stuff. Like what Burrows, Lapierre do.

When I first saw that it looked like a head shot (the Camera was right behind the glass where Ebbett got hit). My initial suspicion was a concussion, but I'm sort of glad that it wasn't. Collar bones will mend. Concussions (as we've seen) can lead to more permanent damage.

Regardless, I wish Ebbett a speedy recovery. Of all the cities to get injured in, he's lucky it's Boston. Some of the best doctors in the world.

Fair enough, but going by tonight's result 7 of them will be to Sami Salo.

I wonder if Gillis will come out 15 minutes before Marchand's hearing and announce Salo has a "severe concussion"?

Also, this is all part of the plan. Salo on LTIR means we can trade for someone!

That would be awesome. And if he said that they are going to take him to Dr. Rechi to get a second opinion.

Marchand gets a 8-10 game suspension then Gillis holds a presser announcing that Salo has made a medicially astounding recovery and will be in the lineup next game.

Nah, let him get a few games under his belt first, since he hasn't played in a long time. Besides, Booth is coming back soon.

If Salo is out, I hope to see Tanev soon. Arguably going to become Hodgson #2.

I thought for sure it was a concussion on Ebbett - he took a couple checks that looked high (not suspendable high or anything, just one of those things).

The fact that he has to get surgery is a bad sign though. Usually it means the bone is completely broken. If it needs fixation he could be out for quite a while - the recovery time on collarbones is quite a bit longer than a lot of other bones.

If Salo's injury is season ending I think that "Win it for Sami" avatars are in order.

Salo throwing the stick could mean one of two things to me: if he was really hurt he wouldn't have the mindset to throw the stick, or he was hurt and his frustration won out. Out of character either way.

Tanev won't be coming up until the playoffs I suspect or just before. Now is not really the time.

It would be interesting to see us use this Salo LTIR space to juggle in another player as we did last year, I'm not sure if Gillis would though. He'd need to trade for a player now, salo subs in when another player gets hurt.

How ironic that you said this before the game, as that is exactly what they did to Salo.

Not that I disagree with you. But Gillis said he was being send down to develop and was sure he'd be back before the seasons end due to injuries.

I wouldn't be surprised if Salo has multiple injuries. He hit his head so that could be a concussion, he landed on his shoulder so there's a separated shoulder, contact was to the thigh so maybe a leg injury, and he could have pulled a groin or ab muscle when he threw his stick.

We could be looking at 4-5 injuries for Salo.
