So quite literally 13 hours later (over the last few days) and I still have yet to get the achievement in The Binding of Isaac. I've managed to face the dude a grand total of once and despite having tonnes of health and spirit hearts I somehow completely crapped the bed.
Been playing co op Borderlands with a buddy of mine and I must say it's an awesome game. The only bad thing we experience is connection problems between us as he's in Europe and I'm in Australia so a few times every session the non-host will disconnect and will also experience connection issues fairly often. That's no fault of the game though it's mainly my ****** internet.
If you haven't got that game, seriously look into it.
Heh, I'm playing with a friend of mine from the Netherlands, meanwhile I'm on the east coast of the US. We've been playing the past couple of days trying to figure out ways to get around it but no luck. We even tried using Hamachi to run LAN games and it's only worse. He gets kicked every 20-30 minutes but it is a ton of fun playing with a friend.
50% off valve and 50% of left 4 dead 2, if anyone wants them you can have them. I got l4d2 the other day, pretty damn fun.
I've only played it for a few days, but I have to agree with what was said. The community seems to be pretty bad. I was playing by myself and my team would just ditch me and the yell at me over the mic about how bad I was haha. The game is many magnitudes of fun greater when playing with someone you know on your team.
Anyone here played Magicka? I'm not necessarily going to be playing multiplayer, and was wondering if I should stick with the original edition for $2.50 or buy what looks like the game + a bundle of DLC for $6.24. I'm limiting myself to a prepaid visa for this sale and only have $8.31 left.
It's good, but not great. I actually liked the game as I was going through it. However, it sucks that you can beat a case without finding all of the clues and evidence (like the old police quests forced you to do), and I hated that they made out the main character to be kinda scummy by the end. I haven't finished the last chapter, so I don't know how it iends.
Man, these "collect dropped gift" achievements are the hugest pain in the ass. Got the Day of Defeat and TF2 ones without once seeing an actual gift, then it took 14 (!) collected gifts before CS:S finally recognized that I'd gotten 3. Played the cesspool of hate that is L4D2 Versus for an hour and didn't see a single gift drop. But I just hit 7 coal, so it's not worth it for me to waste hours praying to the Steam achievement god to please drop a gift box every now and again just so I get more coal.
