Ovechkin won't get the trick, I can't remember the last time Ovechkin was on the ice when the other teams net is empty.

Dude we are playing a good game. We are winning. Why are trying to antagonize by calling out people?

2 wins in a row, 2 goals by OV, and probably pick up 2 points on Florida. Probably should play 2-2-2 in pick 3. Life is good!

Pretty good game, lost it a bit there late 2nd/early 3rd but hung on. Florida's down 4-1 to NYR so we should gain some ground.

I would agree, but it appears they are getting a lot tougher mentally. Sure its only 2 games, but there are encouraging signs. DFH might be wearing off on them.

I'm kind of tired of hearing this "they can't play 60 mins" bullcrap. Look, the other team gets paid as well. They come to play. They try their best to win. No team in the league "plays for 60 mins" the way you guys want them to. The other team will make plays for a good stretch of the game. The boys came out to play tonight. They won. They limited Buffalo's chances. I never thought the caps were overwhelmed tonight. This is a good win. Lets celebrate it.

Hard hat I would give to Chimera. Gets boarded and then softens up their D in a fight. And of course set the tone fully by giving Miller the bird.

I like angry players and I bet Dale does too. We did see a lot of Chimera after that.

Tycoon you are right, a team cannot give 100% 100% of the time. The other team gets paid too. You get up a few goals, one guy has a bad pass, giving the Mo to the other team... that's just hockey. Its an up and down game that usually follows momentum. Mo cant go one way all night.

So the caps are back to even in terms of gf/ga, now they just need to build on that. But seriously only two pp?

sometimes people confuse playing on afterburners to effort. a 60 minute effort means fending off the other team's push too. it surely does not mean dominating for 60. thats unrealistic.

That is what I feel a lot of people here want when they say "they didn't play for 60 minutes". Its an unrealistic expectation of this team. They want this team to dominate for 60 mins. That won't happen. That doesn't happen with any team in the league. If people can't see this was a fantastic win tonight, then they won't ever be satisfied with this team .

A critical win and revenge game. The big guns came through, but I did not like the usual not clearing our own zone and letting teams just hang around. Green coming back should really boost the team overall and hopefully the defense. New York Rangers doing us a favor tonight against Florida.
