I think it would had been more important for Dineen to had started Theo tonight. Arena is full, this is not a good exposure for our fans. You knew beating the Rangers was going to be harder than Montreal, so why not start your best goaltender? A remote decent backup goalie asap should be high priority. We can't trade him either, he has no value whatsoever. Who the hell would take him? Tallon already pull one with Olez I doubt he can do a miracle like that again. Is either waive him or buy-out.
Well I think that just because of contract situations shouldn't reflect who gets to play...Markstrom already showed that he's ready and deserves the backup role...screw the "ohh but we'd be paying X amount for the goalie in the AHL"..yeah well we're paying that same amount for a sieve
I get the feeling that we'll make a game of this, but not win. I hope I'm wrong about the 2nd part. C'mon guys, still 40 minutes of hockey, this isn't the same Panthers, lets stay positive, and let's win this game!
Still have a lot of guys injured, does seem we're forfeiting two point tonight for two tomorrow, though.
Exactly, it would have been nice to have Theo fresh for tomorrow and put all our eggs in the Montreal basket, but Clem had other ideas. I still think dineen made the right decision and should have done the same thing with Ottawa/boston. We would have won the Sens game if Theo had played.
I don't understand how clemmer can be so solid one night and so terrible another. I've defended him in the past, but I can't wait until he's gone.
