Don't mind Hischier at #1 if he has been as impressive as most reports say lately. Would be a nice story.

Vilardi at #16 on the other hand I don't get at all, like it makes zero sense. Rasmussen at #3 seems very high too.

Didn't McKeens have Mike McLeod ranked #1 at one point last year too? Or was it only top3? I don't know, I don't put much stock into these guys' rankings.

Pretty sure the highest he went was 3rd. Grant McCagg was basically acting like McLeod was his son.

Interesting rankings. Vilardi being #16 is very surprising, moreso than Patrick not being #1.

Can't say I agree with Rasmussen, Popugaev and Vilardi. The rest is ok though, most other guys are just a couple spots too high/low IMO.

This might be the most interesting draft in years.

Horrible list, but it would be fun with a swiss taken as number 1.

Yeah, his highest was third.

This years draft is quite a bit different though. Both of the top rated players have missed most of the season to date which is leaving room for someone else to get in the conversation.

This is fairly typical McKeens these days. Looking to get clicks versus actually serious rankings.

Not sure I agree with him being #1

But top 5 in my Opinion is very realistic.

Cam Russell has a great eye for talent, and I can see why he has made comparison's to ehlers.

The top 3 may not be as high end as other drafts, but man, really think the top 10 and perhaps even top 15 is going to be great this year.

I think there is depth in this draft but the high end in your face elite talent isn't jumping out especially with Patrick being out all season so far making 1OA completely up for grabs.

That's what a real scouting list looks like.

Scouts don't go by McKenzie's consensus. They have their personal preferences.

Except real scouts don't live and die by video scouting.

So 2011/2012 ish?

Though 2011 RNH is better than anyone here.

Patrick if healthy could be a better prospect than RNH. I also like Vilardi more than I did Landeskog.

I get that, but this is the first draft since 2011 (2012, yak was the hyped guy, don't forget that, and 2013 was mackinnon/jones for months.) there isn't a consensus 1, or even 1-2 in the draft.

2014 was a mess most of the year. Started as Ekblad, Reinhart, and Nylander, and finished in a massive debate between Ekblad, Reinhart and Bennett. By the end even Draisaitl snuck in there, but I don't think he ever had serious traction for 1OA.

Rasmussen....... No thanks for spending a top 5 pick on that guy.

guy is a PP machine in front of the net. He doesn't drive play though. All his goals are around the net off of rebounds.

Another ranking with Entwistle in the top 30, but no discussion on him.... why?

Seems like a very intriguing prospect to me.

He's a meaner Patric Hornqvist. That's a good thing, top 5 good? Probably not.

Vilardi's ranking makes the list click bait though. You can be cold on him, but something like 8th overall is cold, this is just frigid.

Especially when you have Comtois above him.
