-More then 1 goalie goes in the 1st.
-Rob Thomas will be a top 15 pick, and make people think he shouldve went higher.
-Yamamoto falls to mid-late 2nd. (Nobody will regret this one)
-Kostin falls out of first round.

Makar will win at least one Norris.
Vilardi wins the Calder in his first year.
Mittelstadt doesn't play more than 5 NHL seasons (busts)

None of the Ops are very bold....

These however, are much more bold. Especially the Brannstrom and Makar predictions. Those would be wild.

My 5 would be:

- Klim Kostin goes Top 10.

- Timothy Liljegren doesn't go in the first 20 picks. But he also ends up the best Dman out of the draft.

- Both Patrick and Hischier end up the worst 1st and 2nd overall picks since Yakupov/Galchenyuk. Neither put together a 60+ point season in there careers.

- The first Goalie picked in the draft is not Jake Oettinger, and it also doesn't happen in the 1st round.

- The best player to come from this draft ends up being Elias Pettersson, who ends up a regular 80 point Center and Top 10 player in the game.

1. Popugaev drops to the 3rd/4th round, never puts it together to be a good nhler and bolts to the KHL
2. Necas becomes the best player from this draft
3. Liljegren falls to the Rangers pick (hopefully but I can honestly see it happening)
4. Kostin falls into the mid-late second, a while later teams regret passing on him
5. Heiskanen goes third to Stars and a few years later the Stars regret choosing him third, I think he'll still be a top 4 dman but not 3rd overall worthy
7. Makar becomes top 4 PP specialist kind of like Schultz, his game doesn't translate that well
8. Hague busts hard
9. Draft ends up becoming way better than people expect it to
10. Ikonen becomes 50+ point forward
11. Evan Barrat becomes a massive steal and a very good 3rd line center
12. Chytil gets drafted by Montreal and becomes a 50+ point 2nd liner
Will probably get one of these right and become HFBoards version of Eklund, might as well throw **** at the wall and hope it sticks. Some of these are a bit exaggerated but I do semi agree with them

Nolan Patrick will not be the 1st overall pick
Cody Glass will become the best C in the draft
Cale Makar will become a superstar defenceman
Foote will knock the F*** out of Tkachuk the first time he plays Calgary
Jim Benning will screw up his 1st round pick (I know it's not bold but it's inevitable Mr. Anderson)

PS this is fun!

I have to disagree about Galchenyuk... and not just because he's really good but because he was the third pick........

Bold is saying something like Patrick will have a better career than Matthews. Not sure I really believe it but if I'm going to predict something bold that would be it.

Makar will be the first D off the board. Oettinger won't be the first goalie taken. Vesalainen goes before Tippett. DiPietro doesn't go in the top 100 picks. Those are more bold.

Heiskanen becomes a Norris contending level dman.

Petterson and Necas become the best forwards in the draft.

I like this

- Tippett will be a bust
- (Like someone else said) Patrick will be injured most of his career
- Petterssen will score 55pts in his rookie season

1. Michael Rasmussen will play fewer than 200 NHL games in his career.
2. Erik Brannstrom will one day score 50 points, maybe more than once.
3. Jake Oettinger will be a top 5 NHL goaltender by age 25.
4. Elias Pettersson will be a franchise forward.
5. Someone will draft a hall of fame player between rounds 2 and 7.

- Cody Glass goes first overall.
- Oettinger and Dipietro go in the first round.
- Hoping to fill their desire for a 1st line center, Montreal trades up to take Nolan Patrick, who is then out of the league in 5 years due to injuries.
- Timothy Liljegren falls out of the first round.
- The top 3 players to come out of this draft will be Elias Pettersson, Robert Thomas and Joni Ikonen. Notable first round busts: Rasmussen; Hague; Hischier (still an NHLer, just not a top line guy); Isaac Ratcliffe; Kailer Yamamoto.

1) After a couple of decades the NHL finally comes to realization that nobody's wants Gary Bettman on the podium so they contract someone to announce trades, and call teams to the podium. Maybe Weeks, and or Tappan?

2) Liljegren falls to the 20's and never puts it together at the NHL level.

3) Nick Suzuki goes top 10 and becomes the best player out of the draft

4) There are 5 trades in the first round

5) NY Islanders pull off a blockbuster trade nobody saw coming

1. Elias Pettersson becomes the next Pavel Datsyuk while dropping out of the top 20
2. Casey Mittlestadt drops out of the top 10 due to his poor performance at the combine
3. Multiple 5-7th round picks will go on to have good NHL careers
4. Eeli Tolvanen goes top 7 and pots multiple 30 goal seasons
5. Dylan Samberg will be the best defenseman of the draft and a top 15 defenseman

Cody Glass goes first overall

Erik Brannstrom will be the best player in the draft once this draft class hits UFA status.

DiPietro will be the first goalie chosen and will be a first round pick.

Jason Robertson will be drafted in the 10-20 range.

Gabe Vilardi will turn into a Getzlaf clone.

Don't even expect some of these to come true, but the general sentiment of them I agree with:

Vilardi will end up with the highest career point total from the class, Elias Pettersson will be second
Makar will end up worse than all of Hesikanen, Liljegren, Valimaki, Hague, and Timmins
The best goalie from the class will be none of Oettinger, DiPietro, UPL, or Petruzelli
Poehling will go top 20 and be a bust
Safin and Chytil will both end up better than Necas (that one is purely random, nothing against Necas but I like the other 2)

Brannstrom will have a 50 point season
Ikonen will be the Sebastian Aho (2nd round player that turns out to be a stud) of this draft
Patrick gets injured his first year in the NHL
Luukkonen is a bust
Yamamoto has a 60 point season

1. Nolan Patrick will have a Hanzal adjace career with more offence. He'll put up 40-50 points a season playing 60-65 games a season and frustrate people.
2. Nico Hischier will be a top 6 winger, but nothing special.
3. Nick Suzuki will fall at the draft. People will be wondering why he's available past 15; and every fan will be frustrated as teams keep passing up on him.
4. Cal Foote is going to be a Shea Weber type pick where people are wondering years down the line how he made it all the way past 15-20 in this draft.
5. Nic Hague will play a total of 2 games in the NHL.
6. Timothy Liljegren will be the overall best player from this draft. Will be an all-purpose 1D of the elite kind, will end up falling to a team that won't need him and striking gold (Carolina, Calgary or St Louis).
