The NHL is the business, competing against the other sports. What's good for the Stars and Ducks is good for the Leafs and Habs ... anything that grows the sport.

To be fair, the Leafs and Habs were very successful prior to the Ducks and Stars, even more so on the ice. They probably don't care if Dallas or Anaheim go under or not.

50% sharing of local revenues would help but may be a bit unrealistic. Perhaps something closer to 35% which is close to what MLB does would be more feasible.
