If you're really anal about number/letter font styles you can send in reference pictures of the player you want to the customizer with your jersey so they match up the styles. The font changed slightly over the years when the Devils wore the red/white/green jerseys.
But otherwise I suppose any Devil from the '91-'92 season and back is "good" for the jersey. I've been trying to figure out a player to put on mine for a while.

Bought a white retro (wasn't retro then) replica in... I'm gonna say 1991. Being young and stupid, I had it lettered/numbered but with single colour red heat-transferred numbers/letters The name was lettered individually, not with a namebar. My theory is I could have legit numbers sewn over top of the press-on ones, with a namebar placed over the old, and if spaced properly, the old letters wouldn't show through? It's a Terreri 31 so I'd get the same so they'd cover properly.
Other question is if it's worth the bother since it's probably a pretty tight fit nowadays, but the novelty of a white retro is nice to have...

I hated the road jerseys back then which were the red, and green at the time they had the jerseys. Would never wear one thought they looked like elves!
Do have a few of the white, and green those ones I didn't mind wearing.
Do I have a Muller, Maclean, and Shanahan in white, and green. I hoard my jersey so no chance of selling haha.
Not a huge deal to me, but I hate the idea of jerseys that a player never wore. Its a little different if its one a player wore, but with the wrong letter. But I still think it doesn't make any sense. I hate seeing a retro jersey (and not a modern version of a throwback) with a current player's name on it. That's just dumb. If its something like last year's reebok jerseys with a new player this year, that's fine because its similar enough. But if I got Josefson on an original red/green devils jersey.... serious facepalm.
I'm hoping my jersey will be ready tomorrow. Was told about 2 weeks, and I dropped it off about 12-13 days ago. I'll be in the area of Floyd Hall Arena tomorrow, so it would be nice to pick it up before the Devils game. If not, hopefully I'll have it for Sunday.
Off-topic, but does anyone know what team it is in a foreign league, either SEL, SM-liiga or KHL, the wears an almost identical jersey to the Devils? They look like the bizarro NJD. I think something was off-beat, like a red helmet or something.

And when the funds get a little better still looking to get an authentic Elias with the Devils 25th ann. patch and "C". A Kovalchuk authentic road jersey (hopefully with a 2012 Stanley cup patch on it...) and if Parise resigns an authentic home jersey.
