It really is. Replica jersey, but the lettering is definitely what you would see for an authentic. I can't remember if they said the guy they send it to either works for, or used to work for one of the local teams. Can't remember if its currently or previously, and if it was for the Devils, for the Rangers, or what. But either way, the place they send it is run by someone who has or does this stuff at the highest level. Took it to Floyd Hall Arena and they sent it out in case anyone is curious/didn't see when I mentioned it in a previous post.
A question best for Dorholt probably, or any other "expert".
Bought a white retro (wasn't retro then) replica in... I'm gonna say 1991. Being young and stupid, I had it lettered/numbered but with single colour red heat-transferred numbers/letters The name was lettered individually, not with a namebar. My theory is I could have legit numbers sewn over top of the press-on ones, with a namebar placed over the old, and if spaced properly, the old letters wouldn't show through? It's a Terreri 31 so I'd get the same so they'd cover properly.
Other question is if it's worth the bother since it's probably a pretty tight fit nowadays, but the novelty of a white retro is nice to have...
The heat seal stuff rarely comes off clean, but it can be done, especially if it 20 years old! It usually peels off with some glue residue left behind. A new nameplate can go over the top and if you choose new numbers carefully, they might cover the old residue well enough. If you're only going to keep it to hang on the wall, then the old glue showing through the new numbers wont be a big issue. Its worth a try.
I know many of you have problems with this, but I went ahead and got a "Christmas Tree" jersey and putting Elias on it. I know he never wore this jersey as a Devil except when we brought them back recently, but I just couldn't help it. Also got the C on it when he was our captain from '06-'07. Should be getting it tomorrow, I'll post some pics when I do.

If its an edge jersey then most here don't care. If its CCM, some might.

Understandable. Honestly, when I bought it, my primary focus was just getting a vintage jersey, so i wasn't really thinking about that. I got it through Dorholt, so I believe it is a CCM. So, I guess I should keep the pictures to myself for fear of being scorned over it

No sir, i demand photos. I'd like to see how Dorholts compares to my CCM that I got off ebay.
If anyone ever has a chance to check out JS Sports Gallery in Franklin Lakes, do it. Lot's of jerseys and other stuff in stock. And VERY competitive prices.
I picked up my retro authentic from Monkey Sports over the weekend. They had 3 left for sale when I was there (50, 52, 60). It's pretty sweet, especially if the team wears old stock on Saturday (Reebok vector logo) leaving me free to customize it with Henrique. I will post pics tonight.
