The best thing to use with stains - dish washing liquid (Dawn)...it's gotten many stains out of many articles of clothing, including grease.
I just toss my cheap knockoff brodeur jersey that's autographed by most of the team straight into the wash, and the autographs have faded a bit. My Elias is really nice and I'd like to keep it that way, so I'm being super careful with the autograph. I don't wear my Brodeur or Stevens authentics, those are going into a frame when I have the $ to spend on them (and a house to hang them up in).

I can't justify spending that much on a jersey and putting it in a frame..that's just my opinion.

I'm also not a fan of people having a players name on their jersey and having everyone and their mother sign it, but to each his own.

Now I need an Authentic Kovalchuk and I will be good for a while.
So unfortunately the jersey I won on Ebay was a little to small for me. Guess I will have to try and sell it now. I'm going to have to purchase one from Dorholt and get it customized with Stevens, "A", 75th and 10th.

If it is anything like my Parise North Dakota that Dorholt did, I know it will look amazing.

So you think it's stupid to have Henrique sign my Elias jersey?

I think it's stupid that anyone not named Elias signs your jersey.

I've always felt it to be fine for other players to sign the front but not the back.

I wasn't not gonna get Henrique's autograph. I actually kind of agree with you though. Luckily he signed the crest. And from everything I've been hearing, it's possible to swap that out if need be.

Thankfully he did. He signed right on the logo.

i don't think the players would sign on someone else's numbers. i guess maybe if you asked them to, but that seems really stupid. parise actually tried to turn over my zajac to sign the back before he saw the sleeve was a 19 and not a 9

how conceited of him, thinking that it had to be his jersey.

The few times i've been to the Rock I haven't seen too many Zajac jerseys actually, so he may have a point there. Though I like his modesty.

I need a Zajac jersey, myself...

hmmmm, you should get the small jersey customized, then sell it. You might get more money that way!

Anyway, The old vinyl can be peeled away, but it most likely will leave a red residue behind. New numbers can be sewn over the old residue, but it doesnt always cover perfectly. I can try to cut the material a little bit fatter to make sure it covers the old stuff, but it may not look perfectly authentic.
A new nameplate will cover the old name completely. As long as you go with the same numbers, it should cover it up well enough.

I charge $20 to strip everything and $50 for new name and numbers, plus shipping. So you're looking at about $80 for the whole job.
Might be just as worthwhile to just get a new one. Will think about it.
Another question... can you do numbers/letters for 2002 Canada Olympics. I have a blank I'd like to get done with Brodeur 30

So he does have a purpose. Hopefully I'll remember to ask him. If not, remind me to annoy him about that (as I will likely have so many things as it is).

I want to say the Michaels that is 2 minutes from my house may have closed down. Maybe I'm a moron and am completely wrong. I really don't know. But I'll look into it, as I know a few others as well

I've gotten two jerseys autographed: A Scott Gomez jersey and a Scott Stevens jersey. I had worn both a significant amount before I finally decided/got the opportunity to get them autographed. They definitely had their fair share of use, so I had no problem with no longer wearing them. And if the autograph is important enough to me, I'm going to take care of it. Not like I can get a new one every day.
