Is a trade coming soon?

There are a lot of signs that trader Tallon may be about to pull the trigger again. The resigning of Weaver combined with the ongoing efforts to ink Garrison seem to suggest that Ellerby may be the odd man out. The talks with Madden make it appear that Santorelli's days may be numbered once Goc returns. Sending Dadonov back to the minors yet again seems to suggest that he is not much in favor either.

I am not sure what return a package of Ellerby, Santorelli and Dads would bring, but I suspect we may find out. Anyone else thinking along the same lines?

I'm still glad Markstrom isn't up here.

I'd like to upgrade the backup position (which isn't difficult to do), but I'm happy that one of our top prospects is developing appropriately. At the end of the day, he hasn't even been lights out in the AHL. He needs the playing time; he needs to be starting.

But how he got the points..He always had a goal support of more than 3. I think it was 4,5 and 6 the most times...

But his Save Percentage is way too low and his GAA way too high. He gives up bad goals, 5 holes every time. Have you ever seen him stop a puck on a breakway in OT or pucks in the SO. I dont think soo..
With Theodore in net we would have gotten points in yesterdays games because he mostly needs just 2 goals or even 1 goal for the win..How many times did he have saved our butt and not given up more than 2..

I wish we could change goalies with NJ.. They get Clemmensuck back and we get the Moose

I hope it happens. I am sure Tallon has noticed the struggles of Clemmensen..I am sure he can get a good backup. He did the same with the starting job and Theodore had a great season so far..Far better than Vokoun..

Maybe its just the signing of Madden, and the return of Goc and Samuelsson? Goc and Samuelsson were on the ice today skating, and both GR and Fialkov tweeted that he could be back next week. I dont want to see Ellerby traded because that leaves us with six Dmen, which would be a problem if we were get hit with the injury bug on the blue line (KNOCK ON WOOD).

If the team can't score more than two goals a game chances are you won't be winning that game.

With Clemmensen in net no, with Theodore maybe. But tbh I trust Theodore to be victorious in those close games

Yeah I'll agree with you with the trust in Theo. It's good not to feel like we're going to lose a game in the third like last year.

Who the heck is that? Any validity?
And that leaves even more of a logjam at the forward position.

Although I am not 100% sure, but I did see his link pop up on a few boards and people saying he is pretty good.
Just a rumor but like I said take it for what it's worth.

Very talented and exciting to watch. He's had a lot of injury problems these past couple years especially with his shoulders. Seems to be pretty healthy this year but with all the young talent we have in our line up, he can't seem to fit in anymore which is a shame.

Ya i think ellerby would be a good player for you guys. He still has a lot of potential and i can see him playing on the second or third pairing there.

I'd like to have Hemsky in FLA. I've always really liked him as a player but just made of glass.

Edmonton seems to need defensive help. I've seen some talk they're interested in Robak before Ellerby though.

As would I. Just sucks that he's so injury prone. I like Ellerby somewhat, but think we can live without him. Edmonton may be the best destination for him. If it happened, the only bright side is that Upshall would have a buddy to watch half of the games with him. Wait, that's not really an upside

This!

He's far from the worst I've seen, and he doesn't get any credit for anything he does right.

It wouldn't really be a logjam because of Hemsky, might he mix well with Goc and Sammy?

I dunno if I want to trade Ellerby though. He's the best 6/7th man we could ask for, and geting better with every game he plays IMO. Must be killing him not to play though, rightfully so. Still, what happens if any of our dmen go down? It always more likely than not that a Dman will get hurt. Then what? Robak or Yonkman? How's Robak?

...and then what do we do with the other 4 forwards?

Well, point being that a forward or three (kidding, sort of) would have to be moved as well. Other Santo, I don't know who stands out. If we could get an upgrade over Matthias, as much as I love the guy, I could see him being moved. Would have to be a great upgrade...I hope. Not sure who else.

Yeah, I do, just wish Hemsky wasn't so injury prone. Also wish he was more physical.
