Cody Corbett, Brady Vail, Johnny Gaudreau, Adam Erne, Max Iafrate and Brady Skeij or Seiloff should be in play. I'm sure Motte and Santini will get looks too. Maybe even Mark Petaccio if he can get it going.

Is Kerby Rychel a dual?

If JT Miller is available he will be the 1st line center..

That is if team USA wants to win

Tyler Motte will get some consideration. Very under-appreciated player when it comes to talking about the top '95's.

Yes he is.
He did play for Ontario at the under 17 last year.
In this article he says he would want to play for Canada.

I would play for Canada. I was born in LA but I’d want to play for Canada. It’s my goal to make Team Ontario this Christmas.

Anyway buddy... The U.S. just lost yesterday and American posters (yourself included) are going to have to eat a little crow after all the bragging you did leading up to the tournament. You can't have it both ways.

Enjoy the game tonight and Happy New Year.

When it comes to hockey no one and I repeat no one brags as much as us. (Canadians) And we've had to eat enough crow too.

Remember who took us to overtime in the gold medal game at the Olympics. One lucky bounce was the reason we won.

Rychel won't play for Canada next year, maybe ever.

His age group is just way too deep. He'd be better off playing for the states.

He already played for a Team Canada. The U-18 team at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial.

Wondering if Scotty Mayfield has a shot at the roster next year. He was a high pick for the isles and has tremendous size but havent found anything about him. Any chance he makes the team next year?

Would Beau Bennett still be eligible or too old by that point?

I thought the only reason he wasnt on the roster this year was due to his injury.

A guess at the invite roster to next summer's camp:

Forwards (x26):

Tyler Biggs
Reid Boucher
J.T. Compher
Adam Erne
Alex Galchenyuk
Johnny Gaudreau
Rocco Grimaldi
Colin Jacobs
Vince Hinostroza
Nic Kerdiles
Sean Kuraly
Joseph LaBate
Mario Lucia
Stefan Matteau
Shane McColgan
J.T. Miller
Tyler Motte
Stefan Noesen
Cody Payne
Henrik Samuelsson
Vince Trochek
Brady Vail

I'd have to think more on the forwards. The '93 group is so shallow. Hopefully they're willing to bring in some of the hungry '95s to camp to up the competition.

Defense (x14):

Dylan Blujus
Brian Cooper
Cody Corbett
Nick Ebert
Seth Jones
Max Iafrate
Conner Murphy
Michael Paliotta
Robbie Russo
Jordan Schmaltz
Patrick Sieloff
Brady Skjei
Jacob Trouba
Andy Welinski

Others in consideration: Troy Vance, Steve Santini, Will Butcher, Ian McCoshen.

Goalies (x4):

John Gibson
Matt Mahalak
Jon Gillies
Colin Olson

Tool old this year and next tournament.

He would have been on last year's team if not for said injury.

Always got this weird feeling when i hear team USA, like a 2 feet tall bodybuilder with tons of muscles but can't lift 30 pounds

I mean...so much talent, so many losses and so few medals for the US hockey. Both in the Olympics, WC and WJC.

Hoping for more wins and medals in the future. Only the ladies is fixing them to you atm

Maybe this was a lilttle off topic hehe...

How so? He was just drafted last draft. He's a late 92 birthday which would make him just 20 at the time of the tournament next year.

Must be born in 1993 or younger for next year's tournament.

I agree 100%. He and Seth Jones have been co-captains their entire time together at the NTDP so I wouldn't be surprised to see him get the nod. One player on this year's team that brought it every night.

He was very good in every game I saw (didn't see the Czech game) and had his best game tonight against the best team they played all tournament.

I really hope Trouba goes to Kitchener. He's taylor made for the OHL. I'm sure Seth will end up in the dub too. Good to see Troy Vance get some mention. He's a local kid having a good year in the Q.

Who else could coach this team next year? We don't exactly have an abundance of coaches.

I would like to add Steve Fogarty to the list of invitees, he plays for Penticton and is playing well and going to Notre Dame next year. I am surprised no one has mentioned Zach Stepan. I saw him play in a tournament that SSM was in just recently and I think he is one of the team's best players . Plus he related to Derek Stepan so how bad can he be.

Coaching as much as player selection is always a factor with U.S. teams. You think USA Hockey is biased towards USNTDP alumni when it comes to player, well it's an even smaller fraternity for coaches. I'd like see a guy like Mike Velucci get a shot, but it's doubtful.

Anyone else think JT Miller and/or John Gibson could end up playing pro next year? It seems like a stretch at this point for either to make the NHL but I wouldn't be surprised to see both of them in the AHL next year. It'd be a huge loss to the team to miss out on either of them.

Things are really up in the air with this group. Those who want to see less NTDP players on the team may very well get their wish given the lack of depth from the '93 group.

One player I didn't see mentioned by anyone who could make for an interesting story is Lukas Sutter. He's played for the US a few times in international play and is having a break out year. I wonder if there'll be a tug of war between Canada and the US over his participation in their respective summer camps. The poor US showing this year might play into his decision, assuming there ends up being one.
