They (the Jets) were skating pretty hard. That’s obviously their game. Their home crowd was amazing tonight. You expect nothing less than for them to come out strong and try to put pressure on us. I think, the bottom line is, we worked hard and we got three out of four points (on the trip). The road trip was not that bad, if you get three out of four. We’ve got to make sure we go home now and take care of business at home. Definitely (getting the power play going would be the answer to problems…) it would be, to get some confidence back and everything. We’ve just got to do the things that make you successful. Tonight we were moving the puck, but we just couldn’t finish it off. We’ve all seen it. If you can’t finish it off, eventually it will come back and bite you, and it did tonight."

I think they’ve scored 40 of their goals. I thought we got through that. Then we had the opportunity 5-on-3 and they have the opportunity 5-on-3. It’s tough. It’s better to look at it the other way, and take the point. (on whether it’s a point earned or a point loss…) Hey, it’s the NHL. That’s why I said, you just stay positive. The positive is the (one) point. We played two games in less than a day, really. We get in here at 2:30 morning. We talked about trying to put ourselves in a playoff spot by the end of this trip, so they did a good job with that. (on Jonathan Bernier’s game…) He was really solid. I thought there were a couple times early where he probably didn’t handle it as well as he wanted, but then as the game went on, he was really smothering pucks. Pucks stayed in on him. He kept trying to get us whistles. That’s what I kept telling him (to do) during timeouts, because I wasn’t sure how much energy we had, so he did a good job."

LET'S GO KINGS !!! & HAPPY NEW YEARS !!!
- UPCOMING SCHEDULE -
NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

Should be a good game, and looking for Quick to do his stellar work. I would love to see Richards put the Sedins in their place and bag a goal t o boot.
This is an interesting comment from LA KINGs insider at today's practice
. More notes and quotes to come, including why Sutter thinks the Kings’ power play has been “awesome.”
Okay, Sutter doesn't strike me as the biting sarcasm type. What on earth does he see in the PP that mere mortals don't???

Best of luck tonight, guys. Just a minor quip on the GDT - Baumgartner is in the AHL, and Tambellini no longer plays for the Canucks (signed a three year deal in Switzerland over the summer).
Hoping for a good game!

Kings Darryl Sutter - 'virtually all our practice time is on offense. Team needs to play more in middle of ice. Too much perimeter work'
Baby steps....
SUTTER: “Quite honestly, from all the tape I’ve watched, and being with them, the one thing we’re trying to do more is get guys in the middle of the ice. We were a real perimeter power play, like fadeaway jumpers. They’re highlight films, but not very often are they goals. So we’re just trying to get more to the middle of the ice, that sort of thing.’’

YES x 1 million. The Kings did this fairly well against Chicago, and then promptly went back to the perimeter against Winnipeg. I hope Sutter can get them attacking the middle of the ice consistently.

Mike Richards is going to be on HNIC after hours
thanks for the heads up....
I'm not familiar with their website but they seem to have a lot of live streams, when you click onto the blue HNIC after hours with Richards the featured guest (bottom right) this comes up
http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockeynight...erhours/video/
Would that be for a live stream later??? Or maybe they load it up after and there is a live steam link on the main page.
Also, for anyone who didn't catch the Flyers Rangers alumni game, it was pretty good. Lindros looks like he could still play...nice setup to LeClair on the first goal.
And Bernie Parent made 5 pretty good saves (played the first 5 minutes ) still moves pretty good for a 66 year old who hasn't played in 30 years.
One of my favorite all time players Shjon Podein (podes) scored the game winner.
