This is looking like the Blues of the past right now. They're just falling apart in front of Elliott. The effort definitely isn't there in the offensive zone either.

We have not at all dominated this game.

The penalty was on Berglund for high sticking.. when his team is having major problems. Bad time for not being able to control your stick.

There is nobody on our team that closes a gap slower than Chris Stewart.

Jackman and Shattenkirk pretty much blew those two goals single-handedly. Jackman cheated defensively on what he thought would be chip past him and didn't take the body, and Shattenkirk made a terrible breakout decision. Both very uncharacteristic plays for the respective players.

The score is still plenty close, but the chances the Blues come back this game are very slim. They're going to start chasing the puck around as the legs tire, and everything will fall apart from there. My prediction is that the Wings own the third, and the game is never in doubt from here on out.

(Of course, I hope I'm wrong.)

Play Skyrim, or watch this pathetic period? I'll stick it out this time, but if we continue playing like this...Well, you can only take so much. Does the Steen injury really hurt this team THAT much?

This is absolutely pathetic.

Time to go play Uncharted 3 multiplayer instead.

Game over, no chance this offense is putting up 3 goals against Howard in 20 minutes.

As scoring goals is a bit of an issue expecting to get 3 in the 3rd against Detroit is probably wishful thinking

Gonna be interesting to see how Hitch treats this team after a 6-0 loss.

Wow...If Hitchcock were still obese, he'd have had a heart attack by now. Berglund and/or Stewart have to go. When you put guys together that aren't extremely talented in the first place, you better hope they are hard workers. Unfortunately, it's been proven over the years that they are not. Two floaters on our second line is killing us. If we were true contenders, the SOB line would be our 2nd line. We need a true difference maker on our top lines. I hope to god we put some time in trying to get Parise or someone like him. Tarasenko and Schwartz are great, but they won't be stars for another 3-4 years, IF they even do reach their potential. Sorry for the rant, but what do we do if Hitchcock can't get this team going like before?

The world is ending...good thing it's New Year's Eve! If we're going to go out, it should be on a nice round number. **** fractions!

Do I need to add the blue font?

I didn't think so. The Blues were sending in EVERYBODY to forecheck yesterday. ALL the defencemen were pinching deep and rushing the net in yesterday's game.

I feel ya bro...

Just a bad night to be a Blues fan. They have been crumbling last several games. Not the fired up team that we had so hoped would come. We just need a couple bonified offensive goal scorers/finishers. This game would be a whole lot closer if we did.

I dunno, I'm not going to rip Berglund or Stewart tonight. Don't get me wrong, they're not good enough players and that hasn't changed. But tonight it's the whole team. They're standing around and making stupid mistakes and not finishing and taking dumb penalties. They have nothing tonight. This is rivaling the LA 5-0 disgrace. The onslaught isn't over folks.

It's really unfair to Elliott and his numbers what's happening in front of him.

These last 4-5 games the Blues have been trending back to old problems. Defensive breakdowns, 3rd period collapses, lack of offense. I don't want to be the one to say it but I got a gut feeling we are looking at another hard January that by the end we see ourselves out of a playoff spot.

IMO this ownership needs to get settled and then we need to package Berglund and Stewart and maybe a pick for a true #1 playmaking center. This lack of offense is killing us.

Let's wrap Steen up in bubblewrap and put him back on the ice.
