O'Douls does actually have a small fraction of alcohol in it. A standard beer is ~5% and O'Douls has .04%.

Not a fan. A dirty thirty was acceptable in college/for beer pong, but I'd rather go PBR/Miller High Life for the cost.

I hate PBR, tastes like watered down burnt toast to me. It also seems like I get horrible hangovers from High Life.

I'm a big fan of Canadian beer. I wish we could get Kokanee here.

No sense in buying overly cheap/crappy booze for parties IMHO.

I'm a poor-ish college student and Bud Light is as cheap as I'll go. If you're throwing a party you're going to spend money regardless so why not just get beer that's moderately passable. Then again, I'm a materialistic snob so that's probably why I overpsy

My grandpa drinks O'Doul's and treats it like real beer. I've got a fridge at home full of 8-10% abv beers and when I go to his place he's like "let's crack open an ice cold O'Douls!" and after having 3 (while I'm sadly nipping at my first) he'll exclaim "I'd better not have anymore!"

In a way I guess it makes me appreciate good beer.

I'm more of a Belgian beer type of guy. Stella Artois and Hoegaarden are my favorites by far.

I love Delirium Tremens personally. Had some maudite the other day that was excellent. Stella is pretty tasty stuff.

I like the Candian beers as well.

Down here in Atlanta, we actually have a pretty good craft beer scene that I'm now starting to get into and away from the pisswater beers. Lately I've been drinking a lot of these:

nothing is better than good old german (bavarian) beer. If you know the taste of this, you will never want to drink something else

Never heard of that. I'll have to give it a try.

And you didn't mention Hoegaarden. If you haven't had it before, get some. It's amazing. Hands down my favorite.

Except bud light/coors light/miller lite aren't any better than busch light and they are more expensive. If my only goal is to get hammered, I'm not going to pay more money for beer that isn't any better.

That said, when I go out to nice places i drink scotch or microbrews.

I can drink more Miller Lite than I can one of the cheaper ones, so it benefits my drunkness to spend the extra dollar or 2. Unless I'm buying for a big group and really want the extra 6. But then I go with High Life.

oh, ucrazy son.

Its actually kinda funny, like 4-5 years ago consumer reports did a rating for light beers and busch light was rated higher than bud light and miller lite IRC. So its not just my opinion.

I'm due for a trip to Friar Tuck next week, I'll look for a bottle. Want to grab some unibroue varieties too.

Good stuff. Friar Tuck's definitely one of the better booze spots in Champaign (well, Savoy).

Until the Binny's down there opens that is, which will be just swell. North Prospect and South Neil/Dunlap with the good booze and everything in-between handled by Piccadilly.

No way, I didn't know they were getting a Binny's here. That BBD card I've had in my wallet since 2008 may finally get some use.

Yeah, no clue when it's planning on opening. Just heard it was getting built when I dropped by back home to visit the parents for Christmas.

Did some research, it'll be over by the mall in a big building that used to be a Borders, so this Binny's could be friggin' enormous. It's not as close to me as Friar Tuck, but it's a great comfort to know that I'll have two venues to supply my refined alcoholism.

So basically, your opinion was the same as others. Big whoop

Well Miller Lite won that stupid beer cup or whatever, so at least 1 person agrees with me.

Unibroue is the best. Great beer, the equal of any Belgian label, and much cheaper. Trois Pistoles is my favorite of the regular varieties .

Busch light tastes like water. Not a horrible thing, but it's hardly beer at all. Then again, I'm not a fan of light beers in general.

yea, exactly why busch light>miller/coors/bud light/lite. Those three beers attempt to taste like beer and end up just tasting bad. Coors light has a faint sweetness and fruitiness to it that is just nasty. Miller lite taste like watered down mgd(in a bad way). Bud Light, which I used to hate, is probably the best of those three, but since its really negligibly better than busch light, there's no point in spending more money.
