You could list the whole team.

We have ourselves a real play making 2nd line centre in the making. Turris reminds me of a younger Regin before the shoulder injuries but with more vision and offensive upside. Playing with Alfie will accelerate his game. Turris will get better after a summer of strength conditioning and a full training camp next season. Bryan Murray got a gem. I don't regret the price.

Speaking of the Zack Attack, he's quickly becoming a favourite of mine.

This was taken down in Eston in Southern Saskatchewan. There senior team is called the Eston ramblers and they played the Eatonia Huskies. This is the first year they have done an outdoor game and I hope they continue to do it for years to come! Great experience! Happy New Years Everyone!

he really has cemented himself as a legit 3rd line center in this league who can be relied upon to produce offensively as well...........very similar to Dave Bolland in Chicago.

EK really had a hell of a game yesterday, and neutralizing Pominville's breakaway was one of the best defensive plays I've seen this year.

+1 for Turris too. He's really gotten better these past few games as he seems to be getting more comfortable out there.

Gotta see this Karlsson play.

Turris was closer to the player I saw in Phoenix last night. (only watched the 1st)

best defensively play of his career thus far imo, couldn't believe he caught up with Pominville. Should be posted anytime someone claims EK doesn't know how to defend because he's very good offensively

Sounds like it could probably be used in a conversation of speed as well.

If you go to the game highlights on NHL.com and look through the saves you can find the play people are referring to. I think it's partway down the list and it's on a "Enroth Save on Daniel Alfredsson" highlight.

Karlsson>NHL

On another note, Spezza has gone 5 games with only a 1 point. Needs to pick it up. I really think Spezza needs another top 6 forward on his line to be that much better. Greening is solid and all but can't match skill-sets of Michalek and Spezza.

Powerforward with skill a guy like Bobby Ryan lite?

What you are really saying is that Spezza isn't good enough to carry a line all by himself. I agree with this assessment---the guy is overrated but we are stuck with him because of his salary.

Been fine with his game lately despite 1 point over 5. Not hurting the team. He'd be a 200 point player if he never came out of hot streaks. Important part is that he doesn't hand the puck over to the other team multiple times a game when he isn't scoring.

I missed this game but in general I have no complaints with how Spezza's played of late. It's just when he's not moving his feet and making dumb passes that I have an issue. As long as we're winning and he's not hurting the team you can let production slide IMO.

What does he have to pick up? His very complete and responsible game? He's still getting chances, he's still creating, and he's playing a 200 foot game. Once Michalek gets going again, he will put up some points.

Spezza is playing fine and playing the way he needs to when he isn't putting up the numbers.

Ringing in the new year with 8 posts and a shootout victory was the punny headline fer sure. I cant remember which announcer mused that perhaps that was that some sort of record, which at first i thought, surely that cant be right, but then when i think about it, i dont remember that many posts we hit in one game off the top of my head either.

Same with Buffalo offsides. I guess its all those injuries but the Sabres dont look right this year.

Id have to agree about Spezza and Turris, Spezza is playing strong and Turris is showing that with the Sens coaches getting him on a good summer plan, he is going to be making our fight for the top 6 in the next training camp fierce. His style could fit right in, it doesnt take many games to see it even if he isnt producing a lot right now.

The Sun article mentioned Neil patting Gerbe on the head after a whistle in the third, anyone get it on video? Sounds hilarious.

It would have been glorious if all those post shots went into the net. I can't remember the last time our boys laid a glorious smack down upon another team.

How can anyone be dissing Spezza, even though he hasnt gotten many points the last 5 games, he's been playing really well.

Agree the Greening needs to be replaced on the top line, I'd just like to see more skill on that line. Maybe Foligno.

This board doesn't need much to get into a frenzy, eh? I just said he needs to pick it up. No dissing or insulting his game whatsoever. Just want him to show the stronger will he shows when he's on his mean streak.

Then again, not every player can avoid small slumps here and there.
