USA going to be looking to injure. They lose nothing if they get suspended for the rest of the tournament, as they cannot medal under any circumstances.

Hardly classic since the U.S. will now play in the relegation round after their loss to Czech Republic tonight and Finland's win over Denmark.

I'll be interested to see what Tinordi does tonight vs. Canada.

With the US not even qualifying for the medal round, this game is pointless. Sadly.

They lose nothing? Every game is a opportunity for prospects to impress and inflate their stock (or in the case of the Americans, try and end the tournament strong). You would have to be a complete moron to forgo that opportunity just so you can bash another kids head in on purpose.

Will it be a chippy affair? I would bet money on it.

There's only one draft eligible player on the team. Having one good game isn't going to make or break the career of the already drafted Americans. Half of the Americans won't be eligible next year, so they really do have nothing to lose.

Damn, wish this game meant something. Always loved watching the intense games between the two countries.
