2012...better or worse than 2011?

Will 2012 be a better or worse year for our beloved Habs? I guess it depends on how you define better. Is better starting from scratch and trying to rebuild this mess or winning hockey games?

Gut the entire team to the core. Do what Ottawa did last year. We could get 2 or 4 first round draft picks and 2 or 3 2nd-3rd rounders.

Rebuild the pipeline. Sign a few FA for a year or 2 to fill in the gaps and in 2 years you have a great young team.

I think the pieces are there. I like how the team is playing under Cunneyworth. The losses are disappointing but you can't expect a complete 180 when a new coach comes in. It takes time.

The key is getting Markov and Gionta back and to a lesser extent, Gomez.

I don't think the team is as bad as their record would indicate. I think the second half will be better. The playoffs are still a possibility.
