The Future Need thread

Personally, Im a big fan of rebuilding and our biggest needs come from doing a full rebuild on the core, the most important part is the forward core but all components need work except goaltending.

So let's look at goaltending first Carey price well into the forseeable future our starting pOsition is locked up however I do think that getting a third round goalie gives us a bit of depth in case of injury.

Next defense, tinordi subban and beaulieu all are perfect pieces to build around however if we had a second first rounder id pick up another defenseman like pouliot. This gives us plenty of players who could step in and play with subban.

Finally the forwards, I'd build with the top three centers being galchenyuk/grigerenko with bournival Ellet plekanec taking up the other three roles. On the wings I'd use the other first rounder and try to draft another winger this would give us plenty of wingers with top 6 potential

We need a top notch center, a game breaker that can change a game to himself

#1 Center, Pleks at#2 and Desharhais or Eller at #3 and we have the best centerman depth in the league IMO

He's the reason why I think we could land a franshise player out of the top 3-5 picks. But it's hard to say where he will go. Even if we trade some vets, I don't think we are as bad as Ducks/Jackets/Canes/NYI so I really think we picked a good year to be bad. Since the games are getting kind of deppressing, need to find positives somewhere. It's great that there is a possible franshise player that could fall to us even if we are 6-7th overall.
