I have a feeling our PP will start to work a little better when we'll actually utilise Foster at the point. At the moment, he's just a decoy and everyone is still looking to feed Kovalchuk for that one-timer.

We need to mix things up since we are too predictable. The only positive aspect to Foster's game is his shot, so let him fake a pass so everyone slides down towards IK and let him hammer a shot from the point for Zach/Clarkson to scoop up. We do the same plays over and over and over again.

It also looks like everyone tries to force it Kovy half the time when there are better or safer options. If they can stop doing that I'm sure there will be less Shorthanded chances against.

They definitely force it to Kovy too much. Parise's stuff play rarely works. Other players have to recognise that they have decent shots too, and just take what they give them.

It seems like our powerplay has three options.
1. Pass it to Kovalchuk (no matter how covered he is)
2. Parise stuff in move
3. Turn puck over for shorthanded chance

Pretty much. That Parise move has not worked once this year, dunno why they keep trying it.

Look at Stamkos' third goal. That's the movement I want to see from Kovalchuk on our PP. I think there's a longer video of Stamkos' movement on this PP, but it's enough to see that no Hurricane had an idea where Stamkos was at this time. I want to see Kovy doing this and stand on the half boards, not at the point.

This. I always wanted the Devils to set up their PP the way the Lightning do for Stamkos; he owns that left circle one-timer.

We are currently waiting with Baited breath now.....especially after the Rags beat the Flyers in their own building.

There's going to be at least 40-45,000 p*ssed off Flyer fans looking to start something.

Kovalchuk definitely should be moving around more on the PP. The unit as a whole should move around more to cause confusion for the defence. Eventually you'll get a mismatch and a scoring chance. Right now it's way too predictable.

Maybe they need to try Clarkson out there with them. Put Parise in front of the net to do what he does best, and stick Clarky in a shooting position at the circle. He loves to shoot, and he's having a lot of success with them going in this season.

I just have this feeling, in my lower region.

But seriously, some numerical superstitions. Plus, he got ROBBED twice last game. Once by a post & Clarkson and once by Fleury.

Why would you want less movement on the PP?

But seriously, not a bad idea. that and moving Kovy to the halfboards. Don't really see either happening soon though.
